Superchargers usually work by belt drive . Turbos by exhaust gas (recirculation) . Both cases compressed are gets hotter , but with a turbo you are recirculating exhaust or already hot air . So cooling is more needed with the turbo .

But it would be beneficial in both applications . Just necassary with the turbo . But consider the cost versus gain factor involved .
