I think it has more to do with the fact the Galant has been around in the US a lot longer. Consumers prefer to buy a name they know and there thinking with doing this they can appeal to the family buyer, and the tuner at the same time with one car. And the lder family guy isnt scared because of the tuner label put on the Lancer. Also with the Economy companies are trying to cut back on products and sell more of fewer products than less of more products.
