Why is my car so fast?

I'm really confused, I drive a 06 GS automatic, and when you look it up it usually says the car does 0-60 in ~8 seconds. I tested 3 times, 0-60 in "sport" mode(the one where you choose when to shift up or down" and was getting 6.1-7 seconds... Really confused, haven't modified the car in anyway, and if it helps I shift up around 3k-4k rpm

Interesting. Can you post a video of the cluster while going 0-60?

Are you sure it isn't a GT? Those are GT times (C&D measured the 0-60 at 6.1 for the six speed coupe)

I had my friend sit in and as soon as i put my foot on the throttle and as soon as he saw it hit 60 he would stop. Obv there could be a few miliseconds of error in this way but still it lists it as 8 on most websites.

Maybe the speedometer is off lol mine is slugish til about 20-30 mph then itl rev high from dead zero it will spin the tire(singular tire) slightly. But im usually weighted down with our dogs and my girl so thatd be about 400lbs in the car on a average ride. by myself itl go alil better but still never been 6 sec lol more like 7-8 maybe i just have a slow one

I'm wondering maybe your ECU was reflashed? because i think mines is and i know stock GTS dont allow RPM levels above 6500 on the govener?

Because i just seafoamed my intake yesterday and instructions said to rev at high, and i got mid 7000's easily on 2nd gear, which i never went that high before because id shift around 4500-6000, so im assuming the previous owner reflash it or something

If you're revving to 7500, it's probably reflashed. Or, your tachometer isn't reading right. Try a digital readout from an OBD tool

PS: Don't rev to 7500.

Take it to a drag strip. They'll give you your exact 0-60. I really feel like there's either human error or your speedometer is off...not trying to be a negative Nancy...just jealous if you're right haha
