Replace regular fuel door with aluminium one?

TL;DR: Is it possible to replace the regular, body matching, fuel door with the aluminium Eclipse branded one? If so, how difficult is it?

My 2006 Eclipse GT has the regular looking, body matching, fuel door that the previous owner put a fake carbon fiber looking material over. I always see people driving around with the aluminium Eclipse branded ones that look sexy as hell. I always thought one wouldn't look good on my car because of the color of my car (Frost White Pearl with black accents) however I recently saw someone who painted their aluminium fuel door black and not only did it look sweet, but it would also work with the color of my car. I want to do the same. Is it possible to replace my boring fuel door with the aluminium one? If so, how difficult is it?

DR3 has a spectacular aura about
^ ditto on that. Fairly straightforward. Just be careful to not drop the bolts down into the gas tank.
