I checked my tire pressures and realized my driver rear tire was at 18psi! Wasn't obvious, as I only noticed when I checked the pressures, but its filled and I'll check it tomorrow and hope its not a small sidewall puncture. Thought my guage was broken

PRODUCT WARNING

Today I bought the Suds N Spray -

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Carrand-S...ystem/43938237

Worst 20$ Ive ever spent on a car item. It took using two channel locks to get it connected to my hose and then it leaked right in my face if I held it at the wrong angle. It sucked the soap container to much it started to warp.

The pressure was pitiful and it sucked at foaming my car. I am taking this thing back tomorrow. Ive heard a lawn and garden miracle grow sprayer attachment does better.

I did some spring cleaning. The first proper wash of the year. I should have taken a before picture, the engine bay was full of mud

Shiny

I found a spot with a serious paint run... No idea how, because it wasn't orange or black. Someone must have spilled some on my car. Anyways, I sanded it off, fucked up the clearcoat, and re-cleared a chunk of the rear bumper lol. Gotta wet sand it next

From father to son, inherited my old man's boxing gloves that saw time in his Cutlass, Mercury Capri 2.8, e21 320i and now my Eclipse

Oh and I forgot to add the Tein H-Tech lowering springs, followed by an alignment. I did the lights, rotors and spacers but had the dealership do the shocks, struts, and springs since it needed the alignment. Really had fun doing the rotors and spacers but cutting off the studs so that they didn't extend out past the spacers was a bit of a pain in the backside. But yeah, the end results was well worth it.

I relocated 2 more heat shields in the hunt for a rattle.

Pretty sure it's actually mostly just my flex pipe. Tip: have 2 people so you don't have to rev the car with your hand with your head under the car. Not a good time. Would not recommend a second time either.

But anyways. I thought they would be a better fit in the scrap pile. Until I saw how hot my glasspack gets.

If my interior melts, so be it. Pretty sure I'll be fine.

Today I made up some eyelids for myself and Justin

Not exactly a posed picture, but you'll get to see them installed soon enough.

Also...

I had to add a little touch in case they were to ever be taken off, hahaha

Today I took my baby to the stealership.

I am luckily still under warranty for powertrain and finally hoping to fix my long time deep grinding noise that only comes when I steer right and accelerating.

Stealership called me back after checking, told me that we should start by replacing front and rear driver side wheel bearings first for FREE!! YAY!

After that, if noise continues, we will continue to investigate. I don't think it is wheel bearing but we will see. Have to wait another 1~2 weeks until parts arrive. Canada is slow with everything except cutting budget to National Defence and raising taxes.

I also looked into eyelids. @SaberTooth eyelids looks nice. I am thinking about projector style as well though RA style looks more aggressive, I dont want to limit the light.

Tried to loosen up my rear camber bolts. Went in for an alignment the other week and was told the bolts were seized. Any ideas? I pb blasted that thing, but the entire bolt spins and won't break free.

Today I fixed the sunroof on my baby. I opened it the other morning and it made a strange sound and would no longer close. Luckily with some wiggling and force, something clicked back together and it closes just fine now.

Just bought an '08 GT last Wednesday, spent the entire weekend replacing the factory stereo (it's the Rockford Fosgate edition, so nice bass from the sub in the trunk), replaced headlight assemblies (previous owner hit a deer in 2011, and never bothered fixing it), put in numerous plastic rivets that were missing, splash shields underneath the engine were barely holding on, same with the bumper..
Also replaced the windshield washer nozzles, the old ones basically crumbled to dust when I touched them..
Oh, and I also installed a backup camera, this thing has a big rear-end.
Many more things to do with it, but that was enough for this weekend.

Just remembered, I also replaced the door speakers, knuckle-head previous owner blew the passenger side one, so he just turned all the sound to the left... *shakes head*

Yeah, the washer nozzles are very fragile. Had to replace both of mine a few months back, both crumbled to bits while removing them. New nozzles were quite inexpensive ($16/each), so not really complaining

I went to Canadian Tire yesterday to buy wiper blades. I had the Bosch Icons in my hands and was walking to the cash when my father called to say he got cheap jobbers for $5 each (Icons were $26.99 each). Sadly, I had to put them down and leave empty handed

Got cheap Hanndex "premium" Chinese blades, complete with typos on the box

Changed out my snapped driver's side e brake cable. Gonna have to do the passenger side when some more cash flow happens. Pain in the ass of a job when getting over the flu.

But...
Story of the year: Exhaust leak. I killed another flexpipe.

This one is still the one that was on when I lost a wheel and was belly down on the road--I'm amazed it didn't break then already.

I'm wondering if stiffer motor mounts are needed to prevent roll stressing it

I defiantly recommend motor mounts in combination with a torque damper. The shifts are smoother and you can feel the clutch engage much sooner, almost like it grabs harder similar to a new clutch. You will not be disappointed

Practiced a few hard launches this morning. Tires bite well, but the clutch is not having it. Started to slip on anything over a 3k rpm dump. A stage 2 might be in the cards for me lol

Got the car on a dyno today. Pulled some decent numbers. See my build thread for more deets/pics

Sabertooth^2 has a spectacular aura about
Started doing some things and stuff because it was nice out

Had to put it back together because it's looking like it's about to storm

My left blinker burned out, no big deal, new bulb. New bulb wouldn't light up... So I traced back to wiring issue to a bad plug. Ok, replaced it, done.

My right blinker decided to jump on the bandwagon. Traced back to wiring, the wire snapped at a plug on the ground wire. Ok, sure. New plug there. While it was disconnected, the lighting decided to turn on... Without any ground wire. Fuck. There's a short somewhere in the OEM harness. But I couldn't get to that because it's dropped 10 degrees (Celsius) and the clouds are getting thick, with thunderstorm warnings now in place.

Hopefully my right blinker will play along. If not... Fuck. It's supposed to storm as far as the forecast shows

EDIT: Also this
