ok checked as many posts in the performance section as i could and still can't make much sense of it. Short Ram or Long Tube intake system for my 2.4? if keeping stock purr means long tube i will go that route gotta have my baby purr. if exhaust is all i need to deepen sound i will do that.

Just make sure if u are getting a CAI aka "long tube intake" you have good clearance on the ground for when it rains

In my experience i would recommend the magnaflow catback exhaust system. It has a nice low rumble/purr and is not overly loud for no reason. And when you get on it it def sounds aftermarket but within normal loudness and tone, not overly done. Perfect option for your setup!

i totally agree with eclipseMua507 abouut the exhaust. go DC sport cold air intake it just makes your purr that much louder and a cool whistle from the air getting pulled in around 4500-6k rpm. the DC sport is pretty cheap too cant beat that

No I haven't actually. Haven't heard very many good things about glossifier. Heard you need to be really really good with rattle can, which I'm horrible at. I kinda like the flat black look anyways. Do you have any tips if I do decide to try glossifier?

Today should be the end of a month long hiatus from my 2007 Spyder GT. I had a nice long list of things that had to be done for maintenance, eliminating codes and to fix a problem that kept her from the road all together.

Done - Gates Timing Belt Kit with Waterpump.
Done - New Drive Belts. Gates
Done - Crank Position Sensor (OEM)
Done - Gutting of Pre-Cats
Done - Replacement of Rear Back Oxygen Sensor (AfterMarket)
Done - Replacement of Right Front CV Axle (Reman) and Outer Tie Rod End (AfterMarket)

TONIGHT - DeatschWerks DW65c 265LPH Fuel Pump

This Weekend - Working on a custom baseball shift knob. I got the idea from basic baseball shift knobs that I see everywhere and want to improve the idea with a really cool promotional baseball that I bought at our local ballpark.

eosrebel has a spectacular aura about
So over the weekend I flashed the first version of my rom from Merlin. I'm the first Eclipse he has worked on, so we're taking things in slow, methodical increments but so far things have been great. Even with a conservative start I can certainly tell a different a difference with the low end being more responsive off the line, and on the top end the car doesn't bog down like it used to. I'm so excited to see how things go over the next few days and see where we end up.

Well, over the weekend all the catalytic crap mysteriously fell out of my exhaust manifolds

This made my open exhaust much louder I reinstalled the restrictor in my tail. The car pulls much harder

Now to tune

Not today, but over the past weekend I replaced my spark plugs. I couldn't find the NGK Lazer Iridiums in stock anywhere near me so I went with the Denso Iridium plugs. They came gapped at 0.044 in so I knocked them down to 0.038 in. Pulls hard like when it was new.

The previous lugs were dipped black for over a year. They held up well. But as you can only see the top its no big deal of they mess up

Tinted my windows 15% 75$ woot.

also....

Is it just me or does the GS have a clanky sounding start up and idle sometimes? Ive heard other start up and they have the same metallic rasp sound on start up but I am not sure if they all sound like a sewing machine like mine. I have no check engine light and only 33K miles.

I'm not usually a fan of plastidip, but your car is looking pretty good. Sweet ride.
