And I'm curious as well.. How is it that the 6sp gets worse gas mileage than the 5sp and the 5sp sportstronic worse than the 4sp sportstronic? To me that makes no sense at all?

all of the spec information i got was directly from mitsubishi itself. as for the 0-60 time, that was a road test conducted when the car first came out. i know that there are a lot of variables involved, but that is pretty much what is listed for a stock GT 6-speed.

Yeah; I forgot that they were different engines, all I saw was 6sp vs. 5sp at the time. I've since realized this, lol.

turning ratio is definitely in the top 10 of things that will drive you nuts about this car.

My dad's Dodge Caravan had a better turning ratio then my 4G. Ironically that Caravan had the same engine as a 3G (6G72).

I could be wrong about this, but I think part of the list is sort of incorrect.
Because from what the dealers told me the 06 & 07 GT have 260 hp an the ones after that the 263.

Your not going to find a direct bolt on turbo. Its a pretty reliable engine. After market support sucks and its rather heavy car . but its a dang fun car and I've held my own easily at the track . I've had a lot of cars and its my favorite. I personally recommend gt(v6) . Feel free to pm me any questions.

If your not worried about fuel economy I would get the v6. If your going to race get the v6. Its a great car on the track. But it needs a few modifications to get the most out of it.

Here's a modified civic SI trying to keep up with me. BTW I was just taking it easy. First few laps I was just letting my tires heat up.

Super charge for gt bad turbo for gs.
Both aren't going to be easy to build.

Where can I find gear ratios and final drive for the six speed?

Edit: nevermind, found it.

Can someone with magical powers make my gs a gt model? I love my eclipse but I wish it was faster. It's about as quick as a average 4cyl. Car. I financed it and because of shaky credit I was limited to where I could buy a car. But every time I find a eclipse for sale it's a gs. Bummer.

There's a guy on here that put the 3.8l v6 into his GS. He has a thread about the conversion on here too. Best of luck.
