design programs are kinda tough to teach without being with the person to talk and/or show to about.. best thing to do is take a class on it.. or just sit down for a few hours and mess around with it..anything little and specific you wanna know.. you could prob google it.. or ask here.. as for your question above.. you'd have to make a new document.. (File>New..) and set the dimensions to 500 pixels wide by 120 pixels high.. set the resolution to 72 pixels if it isnt already..anything more than that is unnecessary for viewing on the web unless its gonna be viewed on a large scale.. and sigs arent..plus it'll increase your file size.. then you open the picture of your car in photoshop.. copy it.. then paste it into the new blank document..then you'd have to resize the picture of your car
proportionally by clicking on the move tool (the one that looks like an arrow) and checking the box in the menu bar that says "show transform controls". Then you'll see like a dotted square around your picture with little boxes on the corners.. put your cursor on a corner (doesnt matter which) and hold down the shift button while dragging your mouse down or up to make the pic smaller or bigger proportionally.. hope that helps and isnt too confusing...
