Valve Cover Bolt Torque?
I had to replace my valve cover gasket and tube seals because I found oil on my coil boots, it was most pronounced on cylinder 1.
When I tightened it down, I stupidly tightened it as tight as I could (within reason) and ended up snapping a bolt. Replaced all six(?), tightened them down semi-equally and not as tight as before.
However, I can see the gasket poking out just a little bit from the side, and I can't help but feel like I over-tightened it still. I believe the FSM states to tighten it to 4 in-lbs, which from what I'm understanding is extremely loose, at least compared to what I'm used to, and finding a torque wrench that measures in inch pounds is less than stellar.
Am I right on the torque? Is there a better way to gauge it? I plan on replacing it again, just so I know it's done right.

I found the value in the manual. 31 inch-lb, +-4. Section 11A-64 has it
