ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE THERMAL SPACERS!!!!!!

Gaskets shipped out Thursday/Friday (Aug 26/27)

Thickness of TB and IM gaskets: 1/8th, 2/16th, .125 inches, 3.175mm

The TB will require longer bolts: 8mm x 1.25 pitch - 70mm
You also need to buy new lock washers apparently.


Clean up the IM (using seafoam).
Side options:
1. Conduct a radiator flush
2. Install the motor mounts

Sealing Tips:
1. To prevent the P0171 (running lean), reuse the OEM gasket behind the thermal gasket.
Example: Intake Manifold>OEM gasket>thermal gasket>throttle body.
The OEM gasket between TB and IM has a protruding corner on the top-right.
2. The thermal TB gasket has a side with stencil-like cut impressions. That side needs to to face the TB to create a tight seal as it conforms to the TB curves.
3. Buy gasket sealer for an ultra tight seal.

Reduces heat transfer from the engine to the intake manifold
The cooler manifold no longer heats the incoming air which allows increased ignition timing / tuning
This modification can be installed without visible signs and can retain factory new vehicle warrant
Can be cleaned and refitted multiple times
Also supplied with a throttle body insulator as well to stop heat transfer from the water heated throttle body. Retain normal cold start functions.

Gentlemen,

I'm the guy that started it over on EvoM, but per site rules (I didn't know this) only vendors can start group buys. If users can start interest gathering threads that potentially evolve into group buys on club 4g then I can have the guys who would be making them log on and provide more info. I just need confirmation of that.

Although I'm new on Club 4G I want to assure you guys I'm not here to scam you or weasel you out of your monies. Check on EvoM, I'm a regular contributor over there. In fact I'm ponying up some of my own money (template gasket) to get this done.

The plan is once we have enough people I will arrange it so that no monies will come to me, everything will go straight to GT fabrications. I will just provide them confirmations on every order (this will be based on the group buy list). The confirmation will be so that no one outside that first 25 tries to cut the line.

If any of you guys are in Canada I would say add about 12 bux too shipping. that's just an estimate

Once that first 25 comes I will put in the order. Expected wait time once you've paid is about two weeks, if there's a backlog of work around 3-4 weeks.

If there's interest beyond 25 orders GT Fabrications will most likely make the gaskets for sale on their website after the group buy orders are shipped out. I have no idea of when they may do that .

I just want to be clear, I don't work for GT Fabrications, I just am not paying 200 Mother******g dollars to have gaskets shipped from Australia.

Step 1: Clear everything away from the throttle body....intake,loose wires etc.


Step 2: Loosen the 4 bolts on the throttle body


Step 3: With TB in hand, put new longer bolts through bolt openings and place gaskets onto bolts.
A. OEM gasket>thermal gasket>throttle body.
B. Note protruding top right corner of gasket, that has to go back in the same spot
C. You can put on gasket sealer at this point if you'd like


Step 4: Place TB back against IM and tighten securely.


Voila you're done. Takes about 20-25 mins tops.

I don't see why not. I'm ordering a regular IM gasket so they can begin using that as a draft for the thermal plastic.
