Ralliart_on_lsd has a spectacular aura about

Hi guys. I'm a very active member on evolutionm.net but its starting to get drama filled, and filled with assholes with to many stupid pointless rules. so i might be leaving there, and coming here.

OK now the thing i need right now is an adjustable cam gear. I searched on evo m for a lil bit, and on here for a shorter bit. Got frusterated. Lol. I remember reading that an OLD eclispe AEM cam gear fits our car? Anybody have a link, or can tell me which one? I need it, and i am ready to buy it now to finish the build. thanks

Yessss finally you popped back into the fray bro. Sounds like it's coming along nicely , the transmission is what I'm planning on tackling next, clutchmasters stage 2 clutch, rrm flywhee, and the rrm LSD. The damn LSD keeps going up in price I remember when it was 900 bucks. How was the install of it for you? Any extra parts needed? Thanks bro
keep it up and us posted!!!!!!

Hey Joe - great build list - thank you so much for sharing all this info as it will save people a lot of work in trial and error and gives people a greater appriciation on what is involved in building a all out performance engine.

With the list of engine components that you have listed you have listed off who and were you got them from - are all these parts custom one off's or are they on a company product list... meaning can I just contact via www. and find the parts I need easily and order.

I am about to pick up a new engine for myself this weekend and start stripping it down and sending off some parts to get made up eg pistons. I have a set of evo rods that I want to use and just need the pistons to match.

I pulled the turbo manifold off the turbo and was very shocked at the lack of quality in the manifold so I need a new one made up as well..

oops sorry hogging the thread...

I can't wait to see the results of your build I am guessing that the first few thousand miles will be on low boost to run it all in and then up the boost later to get you close to the 600hp.

Chowe Im sure joe can give a better in depth answer, but short and quick all the RRM stuff can be found on the roadracemotorsports page, as for the APR, AMS parts they can be found to they are just 4g63 parts that we are able to use. Some of it is one off stuff though

WOW talk about bad timing. A few hours after I posted this up, my internet took a crap on me for 3 days. Just getting back on now.

Thanks for all the kind words. Helps inspire to put me into the car and get it done faster.

To answer some of the questions....

Which cam gear did I go with. I'll be ordering that sometime today, tomarrow at the latest. But i'm getting the AEM adjustable cam gear from a 95-04 2.4 liter eclipse. Thats what everybody tells me fits.

Videos of my car? all on youtube. My user name is RalliartLSD you can do a search. Those videos are old as hell. Stock motor, Only real mod done was the turbo kit and exhaust. Still enough to beat a modded mustang gt a few times.

And chowetime. Also a pleasure to hear from you Thanks for the welcome. And to help you out. MOST of the parts are parts you can order/cross reference from evo parts. The only stuff that was majorly custom made is the crankshaft (ssp can make one for you) The pistons you can order from RRM. however I asked for custom 8.5 compression, which took them 4 weeks to ship out to me. There pistons are usually stock compression. Hmm. what else. The Head was all done the 2nd time by headgames motor works. Reason why i went to them is because they are known to be one of the best head shops on the country. They do work for super street, import tuner magazines, and the fastest toyota supra in the world. The other custom work that I did was the work on the flywheel (any machine shop can do that) and the machine work done to the block. Everything else is order from a website, or already known to be cross reference. (if i'm forgetting anything, just ask and i'll help tell you where i got it)

and Geardownson. Yes i'm slow. Very slow. My car dont have a motor yet I wish i could be as fast as you right now

***UPDATE****

Last night I dropped my head off at the garage, and saw the progress with the block. All done. He put the head on the car while i was there, hand cranked it, and i put my hand over the cylinder and its making awesome compression. I'm stoked. I tow my car to the garage 3-4 weeks for installation. My mechanic said he is Very impressed on how well the build is going so far. Good quality, just a little slow, cuz its expensive, and he is building this on his spare time for me.

So Today i'll be ordering the group buy thermal gaskets, and tommorow the cam gear. I'll be posting up and updating and helping people out if they need anything. thanks for following.
