Its not that simple at all. To answer your question our stock tranny wouldn't even fit onto the 4g63. Its a big waste of money to even do that swap

What he said ^^^

Everything is opposite between the two motors, so a whole lotta custom work will have to be done just to mount it into the engine bay.

You're right, EVO 4G63 aren't transverse. That motor is a 1g/2g 4g63.

You will save money over all by supercharging it. I spent about 2800 for the kit. The labor alone is much simpler to just super charge a n/a engine. I plan to post pics of my pre and post engine. Took it from 27ish to 407 with about 5k. now its the outsides turn

Actually the tranny is a direct bolt on swap. You can find a weaker older model of our tranny on a GST, and any other FWD 4G6X sirrus series engine

Waste of money depends on your perspective, difficult and expensive yes

You will need a stand alone and extensive knowledge of wiring

Yeah, sorry to say dude but your 2G 4G63T won't fit in your 4G GS without some heavy fabrication and ingenuity.

You'd be better off getting a 4B11T from the new Lancer/Ralli Art and going for a swap that way since the transmission is on the same side.

Here is an Evo 6 that Road Race has/had.

Now that engine will swap into your 4G without a TON of reworking the under hood. You'd need the wiring harness, ecu, and probably some other goodies along with the whole thing, but it would be easier than putting a 1G/2G motor in.

To be totally honest you'd be better off in the end building up your 4G69 into a 4G69T and doing some head work so you can push more boost. You'll find it to be a more rewarding experience.

BUT!

If you wanna do your plan of doing a 4G63 or a 4B11 then go for it. I'm not stopping you at all. Just know that it'll be a hell of a project and if you decide to do it, I'll root you on the whole way and watch.

Yes, the EVO is Right like the rest, the DSM was Left, however, many parts are still interchangeable between the motors.

True, but he's also asking if he could do the engine from a 2G. Which would NOT work.

Yes, an Evo block, like I've already stated would work.

Its been done with the DSM 4g63 engine as well. They just reverse the head so it flows "backwards" but properly for the newer 63.

Check out :: Project Zero G :: they have everything you could ever possibly want to know about frankensteining any sirrus series engine

From stroking, de-stroking, to using 6 bolt setups in an evo
