s pipe/downpipe/midpipe... not sure what its called
So, today when i was changing my oil i decided to take a look at the condition of the pipe between the cat and the headers (someone please tell me the correct name) because i will need to unbolt it from the headers when i put in the turbo... well sure enough upstate NY has taken its toll and the bolts and midpipe look like rusty chunks of crap. does anyone know how much an oem replacement costs? im pretty certain theres no aftermarket ones.... or if worst comes to worst does anyone know where i can get the rear flange that goes to the cat so i can fab up my own? hopefully someone knows something about this.... lol

shouldnt be too much. i mean all it really is is a hunk of steel pipe. get a stainless pipe and your old flanges welded on. shouldnt be more than 50 bucks at a decent exhaust shop.

nooo mines pretty standard with the turbo hanging off the manifold.... but i do still have to remove my headers to get it in there and the collector pipe just looks sooooo ugly i dont even know how much longer it will last without holes lol. and daxenth im thinking thats probably the way ill go but ill just do it myself...now that i think about it it would make my life a hell of a lot easier too if i replaced that piece with an stainless flex pipe...

fab up the turbo and get a exhaust shop to build you the down pipe and attach it to the rest of the exhaust, cause the stock collector will be kinda restrictive for a turbo setup
