4B11T Swap?
So I know engine swaps have been proposed in the past, but after not being stupid and using the search function I have come up with the idea that the 4b11t could be swapped into the 4g with very minimal trouble.
I would like to know what would need to be changed in order for me to put this engine in the car, or if it is even possible. |

Weld in new motor mount and new rear suspension and ecu, wires full motor with turbo intercooler. Probably new frame for the bottom part of the front suspension. Plus anyother problems you run in to will need fixed. A good amount of custom work. Id go 4g63. If I was going to go through all the trouble but its your car.

how bad is the 4g63?

Either engine will pretty much the same. The 4g63 has been out for around 20 years though so the after market is almost endless and proven not that the 4b11is bad. Real don't know to much about the 4d its still pretty new but gates 311 is doing good with it but he has a good amount of custom work that the 4g has already marketed. Plus rre has help put one in a eclipse the RA that never came out

Hm...seems interesting.
Its really damn tempting just to pick up a dsm and just use that as my go fast car, keep my 4g as a daily driver. Its just been goddamn depressing lately knowing that I will never break 200whp unless I go totally all out on mods, and that its heavier than a fucking truck.

Out of curiosity what would I expect to pay for something like that 99 gsx?

I believe the Ralliart Eclipse used an Evo 8 engine and drivetrain.
RRE basically took an evo and put Eclipse interior and body panels on it. |

Why not just look into a head swap?
![]() STILL... look at upwards of 8k for the proper engine management, etc.

Ya kind of that used are chassy and put the evo viii 4g63t and drive train. Plus a full on Carbon fiber kit with wheels to go with it. To bad it didn't come out. But honestly the 4g69 is a good motor git piston and rods do a awd conversion and add a turbo. Would be cheaper add you can get 500awhp. If you do it right a lancer did it. The 4b swap your talking about was problem on a lancer. That are farther a head in the 4g69. Atlest the last I've seen don't realy follow the motor being I have the 6g75.
