well ive spent the day hunting everywhere i possible could for a fujita f5 cold air intake for the GS. looks like a 5-6 month waiting time. i heard great things from fujita, but a 5 month waiting period is a butt fuck of a down time

the point of my thread is, not a damn person on here knows shit about DC sports when it comes to 4g specific parts. i guess ima be the guinea pig. without the fujita available, that only leaves injen's short ram for an auto GS, no bueno

i will update here when it arrives to see how good of a prod it is

yeah ive read around, theres also reports of the piping being melted from the transmission, rub
dont feel like buyin some shit, finding out its gonna suck, and return a scratched up item

get your own piping and have a couple pieces welded for most likely under the price of one. if you dont feel like waiting and not afraid of custom work of course

i have the DC Sports CAI and i love it i just hope you dont have fog lights because you will have to remove the drivers side fog light. but if your like me and you dont have fogs then cut a hole in black plastic put a piece of screen over it to keep the bugs out and your set. ill see if i can get some pics up a lil later.

Cut a hole? That must be preference, its not required. And naw no fog lights

I actually talked to a fujita dealer yesterday and they confirmed the they have slowed production for our cars. they are going to be real hard to come by.

Thought I got lucky last night. There is a guy on ebay selling 5 of them. I talked to him last night and as it turned out he put the ad up to attract people and then he starts pushing other brands. Give me a break.

I've been Googling 'CA-2706' for two days now. I've contacted every loon between here and Mexico. No leads at all. I'm sure someone has a couple of them of sitting in a warehouse somewhere just need to find them.

I want the two piece for wet weather and I don't want SRI all season long on the car. Looks like it would be a waste of time with the fan anyways.

Because pound for pound, toe to toe Fujita put higher numbers on the dyno than any other CAI for our car

I knew all this. People can yap and cry all they want for fujita, but when it comes to a 4g gs, fujitas out the question. For now anyway. And yeah people tried injen with a auto gs, and made it fit. But that added stress makes the possibility of breaking the pipe that much higher. This leaves dc the only cai option for a auto gs.

^yeah man this intake isnt like a BRAND NEW item on our aftermarket list but it did just come out last year, and nobody on here hasnt given it much hype, due to the better known brands. but desperate times call for desperate measures. i called up jm autoracing and got some info on the intake, being non transmission specific, meaning its fits either. and from research DC seems like a damn good aftermarket company for other cars, so why not, yaddamean?

as far as the injen fitting auto, no there hasnt been ANY reports of it breaking. but just the fact of knowing my intake is rubbing my transmission all the time on bumpy roads is gonna make me loose sleep.
