HID kit noob.

Hey all, being my first post and very unexperienced when it comes to dealing with cars, i have a pretty basic hid kit question. i purchased the slim 8k conversion kit from autocityimports as far as i could tell the plug and play seemed simple enough but i guess i just over looking something way too much and i am having trouble connecting it to the old lamp connector. from what i could tell being single beam h13 it didn't come with the connector just the two blue and black wires to hook it up to my old socket. only they don't fit. so hopefully i'm just trying to connect the wrong wires in the wrong area?

There is no connector you either need a relay harness or need to know how to crimp wires and such

so the relay will help that? i was gathering that the relay was just for 55w kits and that i didn't need one for a 35.

The relay provides power to the hids in a different way. If you know what you are doing with stripping wires and crimping them and all that good shit then you can do it without, but a relay harness makes it exponentially easier.

Good choice, I screwed around with mine for four or five hours with different wiring combinations before I broke down and got the relay

Hey man, you don't need the relay!!! I got the 6k 35 ballast from DDM tuning and the wires didn't fit either. You just have to use a nail filer to make them smaller and then they should fit. Here's a thread about your exact problem:

how to: install DDM HID kit non PNP
