so i was driving to work today and half way thru i started to hear some noise coming from the the back. It's like something is lose or is moving when braking or accelerating. Its kinda like You put something in a trunk and when u turn it moves and hits and make noise. I also had Eibach Pro Kit Springs installed last week, i didn't install it, Shop did it for me. Any Ideas what this noise could be? Its a 2011 Gs Sport....

Yah my Jack and spare tire are Secured.....its Loud noise and u can hear it every time u press brakes hard.

its kinda like rattle....like bolt is lose inside hatch and bouncing arnd...when i brake ....but not sure if thats it...thats how it sounds like....

this is exact same thing happens to me, started after i installed my springs as well. it happens mostly when i accelerate and my pipe screams, also happens more when its cold outside. i have looked EVERYWHERE for the source, i just learned to live with it man

yeah, that's odd. I would check with more people that have installed those springs. kind of off topic, but how in the hell do i get my picture to be under my name when i post?

Yah but its really annoying and my car is NEW..im thinking im gonna put stock springs back and then have dealership Fix it. i hope i didn't blow my struts already.... just been a week..

yeah I would be concerned they didn't get one of the bolts tightened to spec...take it back to where you got the work done and tell them to sort it out...

^yeah man, no telling. hopefully they just forgot to use the torque wrench on a bolt and it just needs to be tightened. I wouldn't really drive it until you can take it back.

terapio go into edit options under settings and options. in there go under visible post elements and check all those off. and if no dice make sure you set all the image options under profile privacy to everyone.

Im pretty sure its a loose strut bolts/nut on ur struts/springs,,
Dont they go threw the trunk to get to lossen strut bolt/spring
On my freaind eclipse the noise comes from the strut botteming out cuz shop
He took it to broke em on purpose to try and make him buy new ones
I would take back to the shop and tell them to fix it

i honestly think it has nothing to do with the springs. our cars have cheap POS plastic in our interiors, i believe its some kind of support behind the plastic thats loose causing the plastic to vibrate as the car moves, more so in the cold because of the contraction and expansion due to temp

heres what you do:

Step 1: Pick up Eclipse

Step 2: Turn Eclipse upside down

Step 3: Shake Eclipse until rattle causing item falls out

Step 4: Place Eclipse back on the ground and drive away rattle free

note: This is a completely fool-proof and tested method

It is related to spring/struts.....only coming from back driver side...its rattling noise...another quick question where can i get bumpstopers for 2011 in case i have to put back original ones in order to take it to dealership so my warranty doesn't get void.

they are all checked and profile privacy is also checked to everyone....i can see my profile picture when i go to edit my profile but on here when i post something its not showing ...

Struts won't blow that quick unless you went airborne!! More then likely a bad install. If they failed to seat the springs correctly into the spring seats, or if they failed to install or torque any of the nuts, you will get a knocking noise. So take it back, give them a test drive so they hear the noise, then tell them to fix it!!

There coulld be a couple other little things that could cause this problem, but from your discription it doesn't sound like it's those problems. Sometimes you can get a condition called spring release, this is very common on coilover setups. Basicly on the install you need to lube the spring seats and any coils that are touching when there is weight on the car. But this type problem normally happens with the front struts while you are turning or coming out of a turn.

Also on the front struts, if you don't torque the top center nut correctly you will also get a knocking noise while in or coming out of a turn, so the same will hold true after installing lowering springs.

alright so i found out what the noise was..... last week i took out my spoiler and painted it....and somehow my screw driver was in trunk and fell inside under the spare tire....it was the screwdriver making rattling noises......now car is fine....and Yah even shop told me that struts r fine..... Glad it was just that....
