Magnaflow axle Back
I got installed dual magnaflow performance mufflers on my 2011 GS sport. Cut off the stock ones and welded Magnaflow on it....It sounds deep low pitch ...

Gains will be minor if at all, it's for if you're looking for sound. Cat back will get you gains, but full exhaust is optimal as long as you're running good size piping.

If you do a straight pipe from the cats to muffler you will feel minor gains. The point is to do intake, exhaust, and header so they all add up together. For the gs with those you will see up to 170 to the wheels I believe.

All most evey car these days comes with a factory RESTRICTIVE muffler installed. Because you have a dual exhaust I can't confirm the HP gains by installing a performance type straight through muffler. But with the single exhaust setup, just changing to a performance muffler we gained between 5-10 HP without messing with the rest of the exhaust system.
Even with a CAI and headers installed, it is not necessary to change out the stock exhaust system, the stock exhaust handles our flow very well, it's our muffler that is restrictive and will provide gains if swapped out with a performance staight through type muffler. Now, because our dual exhaust system is not a TRUE dual exhaust system, gases will take the path of least resistence, period. When those gases meets resistence like one, or the other OEM mufflers, it will create a back pressure and push the exhaust out the other pipe. But the only real purpose for our dual exhaust is purely for looks, in-turn to open your exhaust you have to spend twice the money to fix the flow problem.

The pipe stock is only 2 bends same as the injen magnaflow greddy... So ya it's pretty much just the muffler that is restrictive..

I never saw a 4 cylinder with factory duals before. what year did they change it? my 2.4 has one muffler. Im talking exiting out the back of the car, not the secondary resonators and stuff in the same pipe as the one muffler

I think they started in 2010 putting in a two-muffler system on our car... remember, a true dual exhaust system has two independent exhaust systems running from each bank of the engine, not a single pipe that splits to two mufflers. Our two-muffler system is purely for looks, not for performance!!

Yeah, I understand. Didn't mean to sound condescending but there are other members who might not understand the concept. I like the look of the dual tips, but it's not worth the money for me to install, and for the folks that do have the stock setup, it just means they have to spend extra bucks to get it fixed.
