Gs Cold air intake

Hey guys,
I was wanting to install a CAI on my 2007 spyder gs. I was wondering is there one (OEM) that i can put in that wont trip thr engine light and because i live in florida i am kind of worried about water locking the engine during our summer storms. The rains down here are exetremely heavy at times.

Get the injen sri. It sounds beastly ( much better than the fujita cai). Plus no water will get near a sri unless your driving in lakes. If you want a cai though you could always get a hydro shield which will help.

ok y does the injen cai have a connector to the resonator, but the injen sri does not ?? wouldnt it somewhat restrict airflow and reduce sound ?

use search...DC sports one is legit and its $100 cheaper than the injen cai. You would have to submerge your front end to hydrolock

the K&N SRI Typhoon is not a bad choice, imo. comes w/ a heat shield that should block water also

PICS OR GTFO

ha just kidding

i was gonna go with the injen. but i didnt even know the dc sports was an option. just need a little sumthin sumthin. will the dc sports give me a little bit of a meaner tone even on a stock engine? will probably be my first engine mod.

off topic: today a cop revved his engine at a stop light before a merge, gunned it, and cut in front of me. wtf... guess cops gotta have fun too

EDIT: Fuck california. Sent them an e-mail about the C.A.R.B. status of part CAI4006. (gs cai) Gonna have to wait to see what happens.

Andrew,

At this time all our intake are pending CARB approval. They should be legal
in California in a few months I will keep you posted.

Thank You"

Speedy reply i must say, but short. I'll probably just go with it anyways. And stay sticker free until it gets approved. I e-mailed about CAI4006.

it astonishes me the concern over this. its as if people need to watch someone else drive thier car through some very deep puddles so they can see there is no issue. if your bumpers not under water, and if it is, u dont need to be driving there anyway, you wont have problem

^ that is a scary sight. hydroshield for the win . . there has been speculation that the shield restricts airflow to a point ( not at all a noticable difference ) mayb a dyno would show something but idk

let me help you out here. I made no mention of a parking lot being a factor. My issue isnt where your car is located, my issue is weather your bumper is under water. If theres a lake in the middle of a parking lot, u dont need to be driving there.
