For the most part, the cooling system is a closed system, and coolant doesn't normally evaporate, so... Sounds like you have some major problems if your coolant is leaking into the combustion chamber and leaving a smoke trail out of your exhaust. More then likely your head gasket has a leak, or you have a cracked head or block.

How is your warranty?? First owner 100,000/10 years, second owners 60,000/5 years on mostly everything except consumables.

If not mechanically inclined, find a good mechanic or dealership to do the work, and make sure you get the quote and warranty in writing. A cracked head or block will be expensive, even a head gasket will cost about $500/$600. If you are close to 70,000 miles, you my as well get those services done at that time, about another $500/$600. Point in case, most of the same stuff will have to come off to repair the head gasket so the labor chage should be absorbed by the head gasket job. If you wait to do the 70,000 mile scheduled maintenance it will cost about $1000 to have it done at a later date.

nokiauser has a spectacular aura about
Burning anti freeze will give off a bad odor. Hopefully nothing serious in your case.

I third the head gasket. Could also be warped or cracked head. I doubt the cracked block because a block will usually leak to the outside of the block, as opposed to internally.

^I was thinking the same thing, but considering his loss of antifreeze, I was leaning more toward coolant issues.
