Dc cai

Alright so for all of you people who know me know i cant put anything on my car inculding CAI + exhaust so i orderd a DC CAI anyway because im bored as shit of the sound of my car. I was wondering if anyone has a tutorial on how to put the CAI in and then take it off and put the old thing (idk what its called) back on just incase my dad drives the car or some shit. I want to be able to take it off/put it back on in like 30 mins just in case i need to. I need a video tutorial because i know if i just read it ill fuck something up haha

if i can do it you can , just unscrew the old filter and all the parts it connects too (theirs a bunch i filled 3 bins with the old filter parts)

i had to raise my car up in the front and unscrew the bottom plastic thing under it in order to attach the filter end to the metal pipe, it will fit behind the fog light (to an angle) cause if you have fog lights you will have to put it at an angle cause it wont fit behind the fog lights exactly.

but anyways, it comes with instructions too on what to do

it did take me like over an hour (cause i never changed anything in a car before so it was my first time doing anything)

that box (the sensor) thats attached to you current filter right now, its on the top, its like an electrical box with 2 screws holding it down (or 4 cant remember), just unscrew that first and make sure you handle it gently, dont drop it, bang it etc, its important part you dont want to hurt

then just unscrew the old filter and all the parts on it

then just put the other one same way you took out the old filter and put that sensor box attach it to the top of your new CAI and screw it on

i also had to remove the plastic panel behind my drivers side wheel in order to remove the last filter part that theres like 3 or 2 screws you need to be able to access through this area in order to remove this part, then the part will fall down from the bottom so you can remove it

DC is a 1 piece design. very very simple install. the most challenging part is finding the bolts on the stock resonator thing that connects to the bottom of the intake to remove it. once u have everything removed set the pipe in place and u can easily see where it connects to. there r only 2 mounting brackets

2? is your different? i only have one vibration mount by the coolant resevoir and the attachment to the throttle body, unless the TB is the 2nd one you are referring to
