Muffler Silencers
Ok so I'm happy with these new mufflers but one thing that is driving me ape shit. The silencers inside the canisters are rattling like crazy. They are definitely in there good. I took them out and wouldn't you know they rattling is gone... Now I just have a car that's louder than desired...but still sounds mean of course
do these silencers make a difference in performance at all? Or is it just literally a silencer. Thanks ![]()

if anything they are cutting off flow and therefore hurting performance. but I doubt by anything that would really be noticeable except on a dyno. very VERY minor 'hindrance' in air flow, I imagine. so if you want best possible exhaust flow - leave them out I say. If it's too loud w/ out them, well, you may want to keep looking for what is rattling on them. if they are taking performance down it's only in very smallest manner IF at all. I say LEAVE them OFF! But that's me. My car sounds like a STi if not louder. I love it.

Im 100% sure the rattling was the silencers. After I took them out it stopped. My car sounds really deep and throaty aka not a shitty fart can civic. Hahaha.

The rattling in my car was caused by the loose stock springs that go on with the stock bolts when I put on the RRE Magnaflow axleback. Removed those 2 spring things and no rattle but now the Magnaflow's been welded.

The silencer shakes and bounces off the inside a lil. Try buyin extra ones and cuttin the pipe shorter. Thats wat i did. Still rattled alil but only when i lightly gave it gas
