ok so 2 1/2 weeks ago i got a oil change at 51143 and filled up my tank across the street. Im now on 51599 with a quarter tank left. Thats 456 miles with a quarter tank still left. Expecting over 500 miles, HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE, my miles are throughout my town usually revving up to 4-6 rpm before shifting ( cuz the intake sound is awsome) and i have had less than 20 highway miles on the fillup. I find myself braking alot too. I have the gs and a cai thats it, no bigger rims that can through off the miles or anything.

Not to sound like a dck, but are you positive on your numbers? Dude run the fucker 10 miles past the gas light and see what you get for the whole tank. Badass... Unless a gauge is fucked up or something.

if you drive it like you say you do, i'd check the gas gauge !!!
otherwise, yeah, i've seen 500 miles on my GT, once, when grandma was driving, downhill, in neutral, with a wind of 80 mph...

Ha Ha Ha!!! I hear you on that one. I don't even like to think about the fact that I've got the gas mileage of a truck in my GT.

Yep the sticker says 53143 cuz i got 3000 mile oil change so that means i got the oil change at 51143 and i remember seeing the number at the gas station and my odo now reads 51599, i always run my gas down to the light but ok i will give everone a update by the end of this week

Imagine doubling your injector size and going FI on a GT... I'm lucky if I get 15 mpg lol it sucks... But a gs ya depending on conditions I could see 500 to a tank that means your getting close to 30 mpg right??

I get 27mpg on the 3.8 v6 but....that's driving 65mph mostly highway miles and get about 350 miles per tank before the light comes on. Its annoying to drive that slow but gas is expensive and I have a 65 mile commute. I do have a bunch of mods too. Oh and my car has almost 120k!!!

do some of u guys really let ur gas get that low ?? at that point ur forcing the car to take in more sediments that can damage the pump , injectors, even internals

yeah, ideally you dont want it under 1/4 tank, i'd say... i only drove it to the light 2 or 3 times in 3 years...

I've done 3 fills since I got my SE, from 1/4 were 23, 19, 21.
That's ALL city, maybe 10% at highway speed. I do drive casual most of the time but do tend to take off not so casual about half of the time.

it may be clean but it can harm the pump running the car all the way down a lot.

i've gotten 400 miles on my GT a couple of times, right after i almost lost my license and had to keep it to the speed limit on the highway...
in town, 250-300 is a good day

In the city with average driving, i get 700km/tank
hitting WOT alot, i'm lucky to get 400km
on the highway i get around 800km/tank keeping around 120km/h.

only mod i have is the injen cold air intake.

so i decided to find out my MPG so i drove her to empty then filled exactly 10 gallons and drove normally and got 342.6 miles, then did it again and got 339.7

the following week i did it again this time floored it everywhere and got 268.3 and 261.6 miles so there you have it... take note i live in the high desert of cali if take the altitude and temperature differences into acct.
