idle issue

when my 2008 Eclipse GS is at a stop my tacometer needle is jumping erratically. anyone have any suggestions as to why or how to fix it? the only performance mod that i have so far is a fujita intake.

Is it just the needle on the tach or do you actually hear the engine fluctuating too?

check and make sure your battery is good
recheck all the clamps tightness on your intake connections.
bad gas maybe ?
you should do the tb bypass as well.not much point in having a cai when your throttlebody gets as hot as your radiator.

Moyer627 is an unknown quantity at this point
Did you just put on your cai? Cuz when I put mine on it did the same thing then I unhooked the battery and that same day put on a gt throttle body but Rebooting the ecu did help. Was still not a steady idle for about a week. Since though I've had a steady 600rpm idle. It seems like the ecu has to learn the mods and adjust till its right.

nokiauser has a spectacular aura about
^ resetting the ECU helps but only if there are no vacuum leaks. Make sure everything is fastened good.
