this is for kicks, laugh all you want ,

so i went to the mitsu dealer today to get my first oil change done ( I KNOW I WAS GONNA DO IT MYSELF BUT THEN I WAS LIKE FUCK IT CAUSE I DIDNT HAVE ALL THE TOOLS NEEDED) anyways and im leaving the country in a week so i was like FUCK IT lolllllllllllllllllllll thinking that it was covered by the warranty since my cars new and shit... ahhahahhah righttttttttt get there and shes like ok sign here for 40+ im like what the fuck?? i thought it was covered under warranty, no no only shit that breaks is covered, OHHHHHHHHH , fucking idiot!!! cancelled the shit, was like opppps nevermind ill do it myself...

so stupid.. someone shoot me in the head hahahah OK first new car ive owned, be nice

ahhahhahahahhah the girl was nice at least she didnt make me feel like an idiot but still i felt like a HUGE idiot

Usually they send you $17.99 or $24.99 oil/filter change cards every 3 months. But in my first year, it was all free and covered by the dealership as part of the purchase agreement.

How to change your oil like the dealership: Go buy the cheapest fram filter and generic conventional oil, strip your oil pan bolt while trying to loosen it because you used an 18 or SAE instead of a 17, lose your cheap fram filter so hey why not just reuse the old one, and then spill most of the cheap conventional oil on your valve cover and headers.

I'm anal retentive about the products that go in my cars, so I'd do this myself even if it was free for life I think. That's how lame I am.

mitsu techs are noobs, i wouldn't be surprised if they're not required to be licensed mechanics...their service has been garbage in my experience...

mine told me that synchros were "wear" items like brake pads and are not covered by warranty...when i rebuttled that statement, they then told me the warranty on the transmission was void anyways cause i had a short ram intake and axel back exhaust and that the "extra power" was hard on the transmission...

oil change in my garage: cold, but free (well, $45)...
oil change by the dealer: $ 180 + one loose oil pan nut = one destroyed engine...
i hate dealers...

"we need to replace your oil bolt because it's rounded"
(uh-huh, I don't believe that because I changed it last time) "fine, do it"

5,000 miles later i go to change my own oil again, and find that, yes, it is a different bolt... but now it's a *rusted*, rounded bolt.

Never.Go.To.Shops... unless you personally know the guy doing it (which I did at one point to give them some business).

i used to get free oil changes all the time from mitsu too. I eventually started doing it at home with mobil 1 fully synthetic and keeping the hour drive for warranty work.

fuck changing the oil yourself. i have a buddy at walmart that fill it every 3k with royal purp for 27 bucks. at the price might as well have them do it.
