192hp n/a gs

not sure who has seen this vid but its from RIPP mods

N/A GS with cai, headers, high-flow cat, cat-back. and it is using the brat box as a piggyback which just confused the shit outta me. the brat box supposedly sends signals to the ECU to eliminate the process where the ECU will reverse out power. it does not seem like the brat box is anywhere close to as accurate or diverse as the FIC ( and i dont believe at all that it is ) but nobody has ever put up those numbers on a full bolt-on gs. i myself am full bolt-on plus throttle body and some heat reduction mods along with the FIC and am not putting down 192.

^nice. well, the BRATT is one of the few electronic components from RIPP that actually seems to do SOMETHING for performance...the BLACK BOX is a SHIT BOX.

i just dont get it tho . . . they r pretty much saying that the ECU adjusted itself and the brat box prevents it from "learning the mods" and reversing power. i didnt think the ecu could adjust fuel that drastically. are there limiters that r raised or something because i kno there is no way our cars would lean themselves out enough to reach that max power

Wouldnt the whole point of our learning ECU to be getting max power? Unless its meant to keep it at a factory set?

173 hp
171 lb tq

and thats y i dont understand it. i mean that brat box is not a stand alone management system like the FIC. it is strictly just a piggyback that u wire to the ecu and thats it. i have gone pretty deep into my fuel map along with slight timing advance and am still well away from wut RIPP is at

nokiauser has a spectacular aura about
From what I remember reading, the BratBox is a "glorified voltage clamp".

The ECU took my cams from a beast gain to 20whp less than my baseline.

the stock ecu is a relentless bitch who will cut off your penis and throw it in the woods.

the brat essentially 'fixes' the voltage coming from the maf to read a constant that the ecu will keep fuel and timing at a happy place. not worth the money.

The BRAT box hooks up to the MAP sensor and clamps it at 4.1v...period. That's all it does. It's worth 1 AFR point. So, $300 to go from 10:1 to 11:1...I can sell you a $.05 resistor that will do the same thing.

Don't let the marketing hype fool you. For the 4G eclipse, all the brat does is clamp the MAP voltage.
