Next Step...?

Alright guys, yesterday I ordered the RRE Pulley with Lydia, if you ever call them, ask to speak to her. She was quite helpful and surprisingly nice!

Now this is where my questions and debates come in... Now that the pulley is ordered and should come in Friday... I really wanted to see what my next step could be... I'm completely torn between RRE headers, or the Magnaflow Catback... Both are basically the same price.. But, im sure installing the catback will be a bitch if i dont have the tools or a shop to take it to..

Should I wait until I can buy both for a deal? Should I just get headers...? What a mission...

Now... Not only do I want to build the performance of the car... but i want to make it look good.. SO, i was looking into these rims.. tell me what you all think, I truly appreciate all the help you've all given me! (my gf is going to kill me when she finds out all the money im putting into the car)

Check em out ruff racing r950 rims and tires packages. ruff racing r950 black w/ red lip wheels and tires packages at WheelsNext.com

Thank you all!

i would go with headers. the magnaflow cat-back is designed to clamp on so all u really need to do is cut the stock pipe in 2 spots. then just clamp on the new pipe and the muffler already has hangers on it. u do not need to weld. if there is not a shop that does exhaust work around u then u must literally live in the middle of nowhere

those wheels look pretty sik but too many spokes for my taste

Hahaha, No well, there are quite a few shops around.. But they are either WAY too expensive.. Or there's something fishy that I can't trust. Thank you for the input.. I was thinking headers also.
When it comes to the wheels the spokes actually did it for me! Oh and the red lip...

I was looking at similar wheels before I got the deal on the ones I ended up with. I like 'em!

It is a toss-up on the headers or the exhaust. The exhaust would be easier in my opinion just because it is straight forward. The headers (and I don't have experience with a GS) might be a little tricky getting the right spacers and clearing the codes but I need to let someone who has done it speak to that.

GL with your modding.

Headers will give you more of a gain, and they will just look awesome. You'll have something to sport in your engine bay. I say just get that out of the way, if you get codes it's nothing 20$ worth of spacers can't fix ya know it's no big deal.

Edit: you shouldn't need a shop to install either. And as for the rims if that is where your heart is get them I'm not much of show person I like sleeper but I can dig a nice set of rims

I was leaning more towards the headers! And I was also trying to get them with the spacers also, I don't want any codes either.. I'm sure I can do this with some help, but I don't have all the tools :/. I'll have to ask a friend for them, i really dont want to spend any extra money in taking it to a shop!

Those rims i really fell in love with the first time.. The only thing... it's the price.. 1k for those with tires.. Might just finance them or save up for those !

Nice wheels. I would go with headers first. They have a big demand so it might be hard to get them.

Btw if you planning on working on your car you might consider investing in some tools. I dont know if you have around you but there is good store Harbor Freight Tools. Decent tools for lower price. For 50$ you can get set of most common wrentches and set of socets.

Before I ever installed my Turbocharger the most I had ever done was brakes rotors, oil, and basic fluid changes. Im a visual learner so once I see how its done I know how to do it. Most of the stuff is pretty easy and basic to do, its just VERY time consuming for the most part but once you do it once you have it!

And yeah I would say invest in some tools especially around the Holidays when they have some good deals going on rite about now, it will be worth it in the end. I still need to invest in a good torque wrench

See? Basically what I want to do is that. Start off from nothing and then end up knowing basically everything. I'll drop by to see what deals they have, I just don't or wouldn't want to mess anything it up. But... Fuck it. It can be fixed if anything! It's just the thing with time... Very little of it, working overtime.... Damn. Thank you for the opinion and the advice! I truly appreciate it!!!

neither is going to feel the full effects until you can get the other - so it really doesn't matter. I would do the headers, just cause you'll get more sound I think. then when you get a new cat-back you'll reap some more ponies from the headers.

Thats more like I was thinking about.. those 2 go perfect together... so, i was either going to hold out to get a deal for the 2.. or just get headers before which is what I just might end up doing! Either way... more ponies, are more ponies.. and specially in a GS. But those rims...... Make me want to hold off on the catback! Either way. I'll post some pictures on everything! Thanks again man!
