Intake questions

Hi everyone, I am making my own carbon intake for my GT and had some questions.
1. MAF placement. Is there a "sweet spot" for placing the MAF sensor on the v6? Or better yet does someone just happen to have measurements on the distance of the MAF sensor from the TB or from the filter.
2. intake length. Any correlation between powerband and length of the intake on this motor? I plan on ducting cold air to the filter and sectioning off an area around the filter with carbon and mylar heat shielding.
Anyway, here is the first model mockup. I should be able to cut the patterns at work wednesday and hopefully seal them and pull molds on thursday.

Here are the first pics of the patterns. I cut them and am sealing them now. I am going on a mini vacation starting tomorrow so it will be next week before i can do any more on them though.
