Little hard to start the engine

Hey guys, It's not really an issue yet since the engine still starts but this bothers me somewhat. If I let the car sits for 5+ hours, the next morning for example, the car cranks strong but cranks longer and the last 1-2 cranks sound like it's not smooth. After the the engine warms up it will start just fine. I checked the battery and it's still strong so should I be worry at all? or is it just the way the cold start is? The temperature here is around 8C to 15C but the car was never like this before even in winter. Thanks for the help.

Yeah I had some lingering electrical issues when I first got my car. Battery went within like 1k miles, so this may be your problem. Try getting the battery and alternator tested first to see if you have any charging issues.

Hey...check the intake for obstructions like leaves, dirt and even little animals. Also the filter could be getting dirty.

You know the jokes you have heard like, "What kind of noise does it make?" but if you record it on here would be interesting.
Does it do the normal crank sound then a slower crank sound then very slow cranking sound. If you turn on the headlights and crank it do they almost go out?

try pumping the gas pedal 3 times before you turn it over, will work every time

haha, not on a fuel injected drive-by-wire system like the Eclipse. In fact if you find a car newer then 2000 that this works on I'll be impressed.

the 4g has a drive by wire throttle its not a cable throttle and to add its fuel injection .

this will not work at all pushing the gas pedal down when the car is not started does nothing what so ever .

Lol well I checked all I can check for now and all of them are fairly new in good condition. I guess I'll just leave it for now and mention it when doing my transmission service in 1000km. Thanks for the help!
