Can you add piping to sri to make cai?

I was thinking of buying a used k&n sri, but i know cai are much better. So i was wondering if i could just add more piping to make a cai?

Yep. Just put the piping AFTER the MAF, and you'll be ok. Also use the same inside diameter piping

If adding on to a K&N is your plan, you could just buy the AEM intake, which is literally a longer K&N (it's the first section of the K&N, plus an elbow and some more pipe).
