--------------------------------------------------

From the beginning:
Well I had a Ripp stage 2 running 8-9psi with the methobal kit. Reflash to raise the rev, speed gov, and fuel scaler to work STI 566cc pink injectors controlled with AEM FIC. RIPP mods header jet coated to 3" back custom SS exhaust to a Greddy TiC muffler. Greddy type s bov, ngk iridium one step colder plugs, k&n filter, innovative lc1 wideband.

Well had some back timing or heat issued and busted the edged off a piston and ruin 2 plugs and sure my heads look like shit. Also messages up a lifter making the engine tick. I'm sure if I replace the lifter no one could ever tell it happened and just sell the car.

That Headunit looks great. What model is it an how much did it set you back if you don't mind my asking.

I'm starting to consider getting rid of my stock RF 6 disc system (Wasn't going to but turns out fosgate didn't even make the head, an I want a lil more power. ) an yours is the first one I've seen that looks like it's made for the car.

Soooooooo I finally call delta today trying to see what's taking 6 months...first they can't find them and says well call you back...never got a call. I call back later and the guys like yeah they're here, going into production Wednesday...what a coinsidence...so I've alles them multiple times throughout the year and was told that regrinds for this car would cost $150 per cam...now they fully understood what car these are off of and have even referenced Carl's car...right before I get off the phone the guys like that price is just for the grinds, it's another $650 for the welding...WTF why has no one said that to begin with... They know what needs to be done to make these cams work, why the fuck wasn't I told this is the last year I've been calling. That 650 better be for both, $1600 Is a shit load of money and another $800 for springs...

Hopefully moving forward here very soon!

It kinda seems to me like they are trying to scare you off with high prices.... just a combination of the time frame they took to respond, then just to drop a bombshell of unexpected prices on you like that... put's a really bad taste in my mouth with them.

Well is your knock sensor going off? I think if it senses knock it will kill timing and throw a miss fire code?your blown piston could be mimicking that noise? Just a thought maybe..

Are you all settled into your new place

Great thinking, between the ticking valve and blown piston(or the sound my be the piston rings where the piston blew out) that could be what's going on. Still, after all this money I'd prob kill myself if something happens to this motor. Ie been taking very precaution this far, what's anothe $3000 on a EAS....Yeah I'm settled down and making great money, now all I need are these damn heads and I'm ready to move forward full force.

Glad to see some new faces in here, it's been a long long road but should be a great machine in the end. There will be plenty of pics and vids to follow. Once I get thise motor in and tuned I'll have some N/a numbers never seem from this motor followed by hopefully 20psi of boost.

I literally just spent an hour and a half reading all ten pages of this thread. This is just awesome!! I can't believe the amount of money, work, and research that has gone into this. I don't know how this build thread has eluded me for all this time. Awesome job!!! I cannot wait to see the finished product! Pics, videos, dyno sheets. I'm ecstatic for this. Great work bro!

There is such a thing as too velocity. You want a little grab in there.

The springs are the same set used by carl(horses eater) from delta cams. They aren't one offs, they just aren't meant for this car. They are close but modifications are needed. Luckily my machinist knows his shit and just doesn't start bolting shit together...there needs to be 1/10" taken off the seat on the head to get the right pressure. Not easy to do and you don't know how much room you have to cut into until you hit water. It's the same amount as if you don't use the supplied seat which needs to be used to keep both inner and outer spring in place.
