Engine build done!

Brian Crowler forged H-beam connecting rods
CP fordged aluminum pistons 1mm over sized, 8:1 compression, faced and skits coated
RRE headers ceramic coated
Delta Cam regrind cams
Supertech double coil valve springs and Ti retainers/seats
Custom Cometic head gasket
Custom torque plate bore/honed
ARP 2000 main/head/rod bolts
Port & Polished heads and valve job
Koyorad custom fit aluminum radiator
Samco radiator hoses w/SS t clamps
Quainfe LSD
Clutchmaster custom twin disc 800 series clutch
880cc injectors
Fastwork reflash and tune by Michael
Autometer Colbt Wideband meter
RRE carbon fiber engine cover
K&N custom short ram intake
Optima battery
NGK iridium one step colder plug
Powdercoating: Everything!

--------------------------------------------------

From the beginning:
Well I had a Ripp stage 2 running 8-9psi with the methobal kit. Reflash to raise the rev, speed gov, and fuel scaler to work STI 566cc pink injectors controlled with AEM FIC. RIPP mods header jet coated to 3" back custom SS exhaust to a Greddy TiC muffler. Greddy type s bov, ngk iridium one step colder plugs, k&n filter, innovative lc1 wideband.

Well had some back timing or heat issued and busted the edged off a piston and ruin 2 plugs and sure my heads look like shit. Also messages up a lifter making the engine tick. I'm sure if I replace the lifter no one could ever tell it happened and just sell the car.

I'm going to try,

pull up the history of my posts and you'll see I'm trying to do much and will be trying this a build on an 07 GT-AT

I started with the rods and pistons Front/Rear Brembos etc. Will be keeping eye out for donor motor.

Currently trying to find spacers so that money for different wheels can go toward the suspension requirements namely things like -> Coilovers, Carbing Strut Tower Bar, Motor mounts etc etc

Now budgeting for electronics/ harnesses/ FMS components hopping for a paint shop in va, labor for machine shop work etc ad nauseum.

Sleeper is right! It looks like a $50000 car the way it is. I'm not going to rice it up...the only thing that's going to change on the outside of this car is 6 piston yellow brembos with 2 piece slotted rotor and ralliart eye lids.

Nice Arioch! Nice to see another guy out there taking this car to the next levEl. Show the world the eclipse can still a beast. I can't remember if Travis was going boost or all motor, might want to check what his compression ratio is t make sure it's in line with your goals. You ever need help or advise hit me up.

Thanks it's most appreciated and I will be availing myself of said offer.

Hard to believe I'm doing this (was saving for a Harley) but I have the bug so....I kind of feel like I picked up a baton in a relay/marathon.

Also the vision/direction I want for the engine build is to essentially try to remove/mitigate minimize any flaws in the design.

Then Optimize/Bullet proof as much as I can have done then decide which direction ( Straight N/A FI/TC FI/SC Or some Boost/Nitrous Setup) I want to go from there.

Then see if I can find some mad genius who would be willing to take on the tranny upgrade/bullet proofing.

May also run a secondary/separate/enhanced/redundant Electrical System for all the extras ( so I retain all stock functions and warranties )

clocks Stereo steering controls wiring harnesses, electrical loads etc)
and still have juice for FIC Gauges Aftermarket sound, Monitors

Not in the head rests!!!!!!!!!!!!,

possibly a laptop interface /nav/sat TV/WIfi/4G Receiver setup that I can plug and play into a large monitor Located/deployed rear hatch.

Wonder if an old dog like me could get their ride in a mag?

Regards,
Arioch

I'm going for the cover of import tuner! Im sick of evo, sit, z, supras, and rx7....I want people to see in the mail and on the shelf "An eclipse!? Where the hell have they been!?"

I going for clean/classy and powerful as hell!!! I want it to look as stock as possible without being so. 100% functionality and streamline. Stereo lights, dash cluster, and gauges all need to match, nothing half ass. Nothing Jerry rigged or stocking out, this build will be perfection.

You need to set you goal before you buy anything. If Travis bought 8.5:1 pistons and you want to go all motor, thru won't be right for you, pnp your heads will be don't differently for boost or NA. Piston bore clearance is different. You need to decide boost or all motor before you start! Boost is a VERY long EXPENSIVE road. This motor alone is setting me back $10K. Boost probably another 10. All motor is going to be way cheaper and something that hasn't been done yet. A few guys have the pistons and rods but not building yet. Just a few things to think about. Do one project at a time. Motor, boost, stereo, interior, suspension, brakes. Concentrate on one complete it they way you want and move onto the next. I've put about 2 years of research into this engine build. At the same time looking into boost the past year. It takes time. Don't put too much on your plate.

All very good points and since Travis' Pistons and rods were the 1st Piece that got me interested in this I'm going to follow the road that starts there.
I freely acknowledge my newbieness and for me the engine build is what is going to take the longest and require the most patience and precoordination.

For me so no rush accumulating knowledge and parts, meanwhile I can do the underpinning upgrades (need those before the engine is done just to make use and have fun with the HP I have).

Eventually a multilayer/coat paintjob to finalize it.
:crunk:By the Time I'm done it will be the cover of "Vintage Tuner Magazine:facepalm:
