--------------------------------------------------

From the beginning:
Well I had a Ripp stage 2 running 8-9psi with the methobal kit. Reflash to raise the rev, speed gov, and fuel scaler to work STI 566cc pink injectors controlled with AEM FIC. RIPP mods header jet coated to 3" back custom SS exhaust to a Greddy TiC muffler. Greddy type s bov, ngk iridium one step colder plugs, k&n filter, innovative lc1 wideband.

Well had some back timing or heat issued and busted the edged off a piston and ruin 2 plugs and sure my heads look like shit. Also messages up a lifter making the engine tick. I'm sure if I replace the lifter no one could ever tell it happened and just sell the car.

Today my second motor came in and got most off with an hour, takes a large Allen wrench to get the heads off which I didn't have, should have it completely apart tomorrow.

Now just waiting on custom Brian Crower Rods and custom CP Pistons. I'll be be swapping heads with another member next week to get a spare set of 08 heads. Ship them to Hobbs while I get the block bore and honed.

Looking good dude. You gonna do full port matching/polishing?

How far are you going with a bore? 4.0? 3.9? Just really curious as to your course of action.

Going with a lighter rod/piston combination or staying close to stock to avoid rebalancing the rotating assembly?

good stuff man.

do you have 30,000K hids?

3.9l which is a 1mm overbore. 2mm I've been told leaves the wall way to thin in some spots.

If you want rods you better call BC tomorrow and get them. Theres only a set or two left and they'll never be made again. Should be done in a week or so. I believe the setup will be slightly lighter. Balancing won't be a problem.

Hid are just pink. I bought them from efx. They are a US manufacturer with lifetime guarantee. Good shit, bi-xenons. Have them in green too.

Should have the rest of the motor taken apart tomorrow. Waiting to hear back from another member to swap heads so I have spare 08 heads to work with. They will be sent to Hobbs for full head work as well as delta springs and retainers and possibly a set of test RPW cams.

I'm cleaning up the throttle now and will be we be selling it when done.

Haha yeah, im not putting it back together it I would...forklift and pallet worked out fine. Yeah I was going to bring that up with the rods....not sure why stamped that way. This is a 07 eclipse.

Yeah I'm not sure how the hell I'll get that off the crank now that it's all apart...

I really dont know what to do from here....Ripps is out of kits and making no more...not really the route i wanted to go anyways but was prob the easilest and cheapest...all thats let is single turbo up front or rear mount and they are both going to be crazy money...im about to just buy another set of pistons and do all motor....
