Footwell Led

I know there are a couple footwell led lighting threads already opened but i wanted to know what wire or maybe fuse i would connect the neon light wire for it to light up when the door opens and turn off when the door closes.

I wonder if you could wire it to your dome lights that way they turn on when the door opens and go off automatically or when you lock it.

You can wire it to the door sensor but i would be very careful adding other circuits our cars are very sensitive to voltage changes.
