MZ360135EX on non RF system?

Hey guys whatsup, been readin for a while but never posted. I really want ipod connectivity, and am about to switch the headunit simply for that. I found a bunch of posts reguarding part number MZ360135EX from mitsubishiparts.net. Its an aux cable that everyone keeps saying is a great ipod choice for the RF system, but NO WHERE does it mention whether or not it works with the stock system which is not RF. Does anyone know if it works?

I have a 2008 GS with the stock single-CD. When I hold down CD 'AUX' does not appear. Will this cable work?

Please reply, thanks!

NoI'mCompletelySerious. He is asking about a "non-RF" head unit. I have the stock head unit which "is RF". Even the dealer told me it will work, but I'm confused by this thread. Legitimate question. If you know the answer, feel free to help me out.

The answer is the cable will not work. You need the iPod adapter box which is around $150.
