Sabertooth^2 has a spectacular aura about
2016 Eclipse

Didn't see anything in the search, so here goes:

Been stirring up pages on the 2016 Eclipse, and here's what I've found:

2016 Mitsubishi Eclipse: Redesign Exterior and Interior:

There is a plethora of new and exciting which are well ahead of its time and offer a very unconventional, attractive and futuristic to this 2016 Mitsubishi Eclipse.

-Its head lights and tail lights have been fully redesigned to give them a design from the future. Sleek, as these lights are, they create a wonderful impression on anyone who happens to lay their eyes upon them. Added to that, these head lights and tail lights come equipped with LED technology to make it stick even more to its futuristic designing and concept.
-Mitsubishi has been clever enough to make a new addition of a pair of two water intake pipes with the shape resembling that of a triangle.
-Also, this new Mitsubishi Eclipse features a set of two oval pipes to serve as exhaust outlets.
-Body has been made very muscular and beefy looking, constructed out of aluminium panels which weight less than any other commonly used material. By doing so, Mitsubishi has been successful in reducing the weight of this car, thus has also considerably reduced fuel consumption figures. This factor will obviously give it an edge over its competitors.
-A sporty roof line which gradually descends down all the way to its rear spoilers which are small and round and sleek looking and are placed on its rear trunk.
-Edge of this 2016 Mitsubishi Eclipse will feature sporty aluminium alloy rods which are five in number
-Sporty and chic front grille on the bumper which is complete with the inclusion of curves and grooves.
-The interior fabrication and look of this new 2016 Mitsubishi Eclipse will depend heavily on the power of your pocket. Some of the features that come with this Eclipse from Mitsubishi are:

Exciting new colour combinations.
Wooden panels and trims.
Premium quality leather wrapping for the seats and dash board which gives them a comfortable and sophisticated feel.
Steering wheel also covered up in leather wrapping and feels great to hold.

2016 Mitsubishi Eclipse: Engine and Fuel Economy:

The 2016 Mitsubishi Eclipse is a good sports car and thus it undoubtedly has a great engine. Mitsubishi has equipped their latest beast with:

-A 2.4 litre four cylinder MIVEC 16 SOHC engine which is capable of breathing out 165 brake horsepower and 162 pound feet of torque.
-A much more powerful 3.8 litre V6 MIVEC unit capable of cracking out 265 ponies and 262 pound feet of torque.

-Transmission will be 6-speed dual clutch automatic or 5-speed manual, along with fuel economy of 16/24 mpg on city/highway.

-0 to 60 mph Mitsubishi Eclipse achieved in approximately 6 seconds

2016 Mitsubishi Eclipse: Release Date and Price:

2016 Mitsubishi Eclipse will hit market in late 2015 or early 2016 and will come within $ 22 000-$ 30 000

Some more pics

I'm honestly a little disappointed in the engine power. I was hoping to see something with over 300bhp, maybe a supercharger or turbo.

The front bumper is rediculous looking. Little overdone if you ask me, almost like they wanted some of the Veloster's rediculous line mashed into it. Other than that I like it

Look wise its pretty different. The front is a little over done i think like Lowrider was saying.

Spec wise its terrible. Why cant they give more? All newer cars are getting faster and faster While mitsu seems to be done making cars... Turbo? SC? No?

Another thing i would say is i doubt that this car is going to be made since they closed the mitsu plant.

The Mitsu plant in Normal was mostly making cars for the Russian market, no?

But like I said before... Power is very dissappointing

local Dealership manager said its never gonna happen. the Pajero, Montero Sport, and 3000 GT are the only 3 confirmed plans in Mitsu Lineup for the next 5 years.

This isn't a concept, just a rendering somebody did back in 2013... look at the time stamp on this link.

I think the commonality of very powerful graphics machines combined with very powerful 3d software is making it impossible to tell any more what's legit and what isn't. But I know most every picture I have seen of a 2016 Eclipse looks pretty much like photographs of my 2007, and I really don't believe Mitsubishi are that stupid.

I would love to have ESC and a dual clutch gearbox, though.

well the pics we are seeing were done by a Former Mitsubishi Designer. so the designs look awesome, but the power is just too underwhelming for another $32k price tag. i paid $13k for mine used. I love Mitsubishi, don't get me wrong, but you can buy a low end Mercedes for $32k and get a LOT more power.

Design wise I think it's pretty sleek, looks like a dumbed down BMW i8 (which itself looks like a prop from Tron imo). As for the mechanicals, there's nothing impressive about that. I'd imagine Mitsu spent all their cash on design and didn't have much left over for anything else. If it makes it to production with the same engines, I'm sure they can factory tune them to be a little more competitive. Say 180hp for the four pot and 280 of the V6. Shouldn't be too hard and won't cost them much to do.

Also, throw in an optional LSD, for the love of God.

I heard that when they first thought of the car, they were gonna have a diesel engine with a supercharger on it, pushing out over 300 whp and more, and now this. I mean, if its gonna be a easily tuneable engine then I'll be okay with it. But if not, then I'll either get a 4g or a FRS

That's if they ever make it, which chances are they never will. Mitsu is pretty much done with making fun, desirable cars for the everyday enthusiast. When the best thing in their portfolio is a weak winded automatic turbo on an old Lancer platform, they've pretty much had it.

Same. Really not too interested in FWD anymore. Not that it's crap and I'll never drive one, just that I prefer to move up the food chain when changing cars. Stagnation is death.

Call me crazy, but I'm not too keen on forced induction. I like my motors clean. Unfortunately, that limits my power potential somewhat unless I go for something with a V8. The V6 in my opinion is a great balance between speed and economy, so I'd like to keep with that formula as well.

I wouldn't mind taking a Genesis 3.8 for a spin. Or a proper 4x4. The Xterra is pretty sweet imo.

I want to take an old car (pre emissions testing, 1987 or older) and "slightly modify" the everything on it, from making a tube frame to fiberglass "body kit". 10 year goal. Car > Wife

Get a G body, a Monte Carlo SS wouldn't be a bad place to start. I've got an '86 Bonneville V6. Makes a whopping 110hp. Slow as molasses in a blizzard, but it's got swag like you wouldn't believe lol
