2017 Mitsubishi Mirage GT Shows its New Face

Quote:
Boasting a new exterior design, the 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage GT has been unveiled at the 2015 L.A. Auto Show.

The updated Mitsubishi Mirage GT will be available at dealerships starting spring 2016, offering the same impressive fuel economy and attractive pricing the model has become known for. Headlined by a fresh new look, the Japanese automaker gave the Mirage GT a redesigned hood, grille, front and rear bumpers, fog and head lights, rear spoiler and wheels. The exterior changes werenít just to make the Mirage sportier and more attractive, Mitsubishi took the opportunity to improve its aerodynamics to maximize fuel efficiency while reducing weight.

Under the hood, the hatch will retain the 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine with 78 horsepower and 74 pound-feet of torque. Fuel economy figures havenít been announced yet for the new model, but the current model returns up to 37 mpg in the city and 44 mpg on the highway.

Agree, everything is in the shape of a SUV, or cross-over these days .

It's kinda gross. We need some variety. Not every car should be looking the same

You know you've built something truly lame when a Chevy Spark could smoke you from any given stop light. A GT badge on a Mitsu means just about nothing these days.

I actually really like it, they can easily meet a better power output without sacrificing efficiency with a turbo direct inject set up, they practically invented modern direct inject anyway...... (I may be a bit bitter about the lack of them implementing this with new models)

78 HP has to be a mistake... you would need a mile, or more of clear traffic; otherwise,
if you pulled out you would be impeding traffic. The only place I would feel safe driving
this car would be the golf course.

I dunno John, those golfers can walk pretty fast. You'd be holding up traffic lol

I'd still take it over a gasoline Smart car though (Brabus is ok)

At least with the rear engine rwd you can PRETEND it's a porsche. Put on some tires bald to the belts and you might be able to get some wheel spin going

The motorcycle engine swapped ones aren't too awful though. It's almost like a go-kart. Just gotta chop the body

Those Smarts are turboed, meaning if you're inclinded enough, a little bit of software tuning can make a big difference. I bet you can make triple digit horsepower with little more than a BOV, a tune and maybe an intake. It'll smoke the Mirage anyday.

I guess I'll have to go test drive one. Our Mitsu Dealership is on a highway, I'll scare the shit out of the sales person by pulling out in front of a semi-truck, I'll have to tuck away a Go-Pro Camera... Price-Less, LOL!!

That car is so fucking ugly. The only thing Mitsubishi is providing the enthusiast these days anymore is the EVO, it pisses me off. That car looks like it should be offered in the mall as apart of those little stations where you pay $5 for a SmarteCarte push cart for kids lol

Well at least I'll have my Mitsubishi Refrigerate left to MOD!!

My first mod will be a ice-cubanator. I know it's old-school, but I like
square ice cubes better then those half-moon ones.

My second mod will be a beer dispenser rather then a water dispenser.
What's up ey!! Even the McKenzie Brothers would approve of this, take-off ey!
