Eclipse 4G at the track = Amazing!

Hi all,

The previous weekend, me and my wife have taken part of a trackday event with our 2008 Eclipse GT:

Oktane TrackDay 2009.3


Jacarepagua, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

I didnt have race brake pads this time (have used street ones), and the braking wasnt that good. It was hot, and the track wasnt quite clean. I havent raced with the usual weight reduction (+47kg). Since I wouldnt be looking for lap time improvement, I have tested a more aggressive setup with camber, toe, ride height, tire pressure, all different from the previous events.
It was a surprise I have beaten my previous lap time record, from 1:34:311 to 1:33:493. The car was amazing. It was the most pleasant event I ever take place (this is the 12th event with this car). It was showing some nice mid-corner oversteer, which put a smile on my face. I didnt have to push it to the limits.

My car has 338hp (271whp), and 1577kg (weighted the day before), but its good handling allowed me (a newbie pilot) to beat other supposedly better cars (check the results table bellow).
