why are you so worried about your warranty?
you arent looking to do anything major. you have plenty of people on here to ask if they've had any problems with it.

Does our manufacturer's warranty say anything about after market parts voiding the warranty no matter what?

It's a fast car, gotta experience it every once in a while!

I was reading up on the Magnuson-Moss Warranty- Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act of 1975 about how the dealer has to prove that the aftermarket part is what caused the problem. But it also says that some dealers put it in the warranty book that aftermarket parts void the warranty automatically therefore making the Magnuson-Moss Act not count. Does our warranty book say anything about aftermarket parts voiding our warranty automatically? I was gonna read through it when I go home but I figured I would ask while I'm on here.

Technically, I would think that law would protect you from manufacturers from putting statements like that in your manual or contract.

Good luck making enough power to cause a stiffy or mounts to actually be the source of a malfunction.

I guess I'm probably just going to do the Stiffy after Christmas. I doubt it could screw anything up. It's made to help.

Agreed. One could almost argue that it would cause MORE damage NOT to have one, being that the engine moves around more and under heavier usage could potentially wear out the squishy stock mounts and result in further damage.

Almost...

yeah, could even say "almost" is an understatement..
the V6 jumps when you rev it on stock motor mounts.

07gt is on a distinguished road
I'm getting the Energy Motor Mounts and stiffy at the same time...I think i remember reading somewhere that getting just the stiffy could potentially shift more energy to the stock motor mounts causing them to flex more than they should and cause premature wear down....how true that is..no clue

No, she should be fine with just the TD. It'll relieve some of the loose energy just flopping around the stock mounts mounts by securing the engine a little more firmly to the frame (it's been awhile since we put it on, I don't exactly remember where it bolted up to). By doing so, the engine will have less slop under heavy torque conditions and should, in fact, prolong the life of your stock mounts. Don't quote me on this though, as this is just what the physics seem to say in MY head. I've been wrong before--I just like to provoke some thoughts from other people just to make sure they're still alive and not just letting me ramble. Needless to say, replace those piece of crap stock mounts as soon as possible anyways.

...start doing forarm exercises...

That won't void your warranty...and it should be able to handle the stock power.

I was reading on the "stiffy" post, Russ says to install the RRE Motor mount kit before the stiffy
RRE's motor Mount As stated in this post Ingalls Stiffy ETD (Engine Torque Damener) for the 2006+ V6 (6G75) Eclipse
And once you get the stiffy in here is how you adjust it
ingalls Torque Damper setting

They say in the post that since the stiffy is only on one side of the eng. that it will make the eng. twist funny and wear you motor mounts out faster.

Yeah, I drove the GS when I was looking at them and it's really not all that slow for 100 less hp. The power surprises me in these cars.

you can do that with an older eclipse too.. or a talon .. or a laser if you can find one in good shape. im sure your chances are a lot better down there than they are up here, and i saw a guy with a 1g laser a few months ago

buuuuut. the choice is all yours, i wont argue with it.
