He probably means buying the FIC and harness which is 675 bucks from RRE for a limited functionality tuning device. What we're all still waiting for is someone to crack the ECU and actually be able to remap the car. Until someone cracks it and releases something...we're screwed.

On a lighter note...I did hear that someone was charging for you to send him your ECU, do some reprogramming and send it back...I wanna say it was Hackish or something...

??? Limited Functionality??? What's that mean exactly? The FIC works great on this car, always has. It does eveything it needs to and then some and has shown documented gains time and time again...and it's $610 for the GS...it's the ONLY proven unit to tune this car to date...and it's been going strong for 3 years now...so, why do you sound so down on it???

Injen CAI, RRE Headers, Magnaflow Catback exhaust system, and working on getting the RRE pulley. deprydation, and BrianJ what does the FIC exactly do to your car? the fuzz, what are you referring to?

^^^ The FIC lets you tune the car! The car comes from the factory with an overly safe tune in it...it is VERY rich and the more mods you do the worse it gets...fuel mileage and performance both suffer from this. The FIC lets you tune the car by adding/subtracting fuel and ignition timing where the car needs it to make it run like it should. You can reclaim tons more power and better fuel economy as well as fix a bunch of other issues such as rough idle, etc.etc. It's the only proven method to tune this car, it's been out for about 3 years now and it's always worked great!

Jet chip has had that up since the 4g first came out...all they did was change the webpage to include the new generation...I think they even kept the same part number from the 3G chip...which definitely is NOT going to work. I don't think to this day they've ever done a 4G...they were contacted about it by members in the past to no avail...

Chips are for very specific canned tunes, with limited to no versatility.

AEM FIC is for real men who know how to tune and can wring every drop of power out of their car, regardless of mods. Reflashes are cool too, but again, for canned combinations of parts.

sounds good, but in my case i don't know how to tune and wire so if i buy FIC how can i get some body to tune my car to what it should be running, and make it perform better?

i agree... im terrible when it comes to extensive instructions... i know brianj has a dvd and you can hire him for tunning advise but again i would be afraid of messing something up... reason i haven't gone that route as of now... but i do have several ppl on here i know would help me tune...

I NEED MY FUEL ECONOMY BACK!!! 320mpt is getting old...

Thats about what I get with mixed driving (mostly city) with CAI and Axle back.

well per tank with intake only i was getting 400+ but that was mostly highway... now i get 320-360 per tank...
