Factory Upper Strut Tower Bar
Hey, so yesterday i popped my hood and realized i had a front tower bar and I was wondering if anyone else had a factory front strut tower bar like I have. I know I have the GT SE, but did these black bars come with all GT's or just my SE? it connects to three points of the car too which is pretty nice, The two struts and the middle of the engine bay.

No man that must be an aftermarket one that somebody put on. No other eclipses have them, unless you have the rare GT Ralliart?

As far as I know, all GT's come with the black front strut tower bar.
No need to take pictures because all us GT owners has one .Well if you just found the strut bar, have you found the little rubber button on the rear spoiler that opens up the rear hatch !!

As far as the Tanabe goes, it's your money, however it looks better then the stock.

Personally I think the stock one is junk. It doesn't bolt to the strut it bolts to the housing for the strut. The tanabe bolts to the top of the strut. You will feel the difference.

nice! thanks for the info randman. i noticed that myself, that it was only bolted to the surrounding strut and not on it, but i do think that mitsu did a good job bolting it to the middle of the chasis and making it a 3 point. not many companies even do that much. a few months down the road i will look into the tanabe. thanks!

I run both, the Tanabe makes a small difference and looks better... Up to you!
Get a rear Progress sway bar though before you get the front one... Much more needed on the GT!! |

glad to hear you can use both to tie the struts. I'll just leave it. couldn't hurt.
and yeah i'd be going all out and getting front and rear suspension at the same time. |

Ditto to me on running both.
I think I'm gonna do the rear sway...VERY soon. Canyon runs are starting to get scarier without it. |
