rre header for gs.
I have questions about this mod that i can not find the answers too.. I have been searching but no help.
I am thinking about doing this mod but i am unsure for a few reasons. -I keep hearing about all sorts of check engine lights going on from doing this mod. -I don't know how much it actually helps.. Does it give a bigger gain then an intake? -can you use a header effectively with out a catback? ^^ i understand these are all terribly newbish questions, but thats why i am here.. i need help.. Please opinions. |

the check engine light has been a problem lately however for myself ill openly admit that i put the spacers in the wrong spot. So if you put them on the down pipe where they are supposed to be then you will be good. The gains are decent when you add the intake, cat-back, and header you will see 170 to the wheels. along with the under drive pulley and a tune you should see close to 200 to the wheels.

I know rre says the whole 170 thing, but did you personally feel and gain at all when you added yours?
i don't know the correct way to put the spacer on the downpipe.. I want to do it but im nervous lmfao |

i mean i feel a whole lot quicker then stock. however if you are not going FI then our gs's wont be fast unfortunately.
It is pretty easy if you have all of the tools in front of you, on top of having a lift/ jack. But a tune is definitely needed after you get those on if you want to really get the most out of em. |

i have heard that the only fitment problem may b with the injen cai. . its perfect for manual trans but auto it is a tighter fit but still works. . i have personally used injen sri, injen cai, fujita, and now dc sports and they all were fine. no engine light and perfect fitment.

having an auto doesnt mean anything for not getting the ses light after installing the header.

-Yes and no. See below. -Yes and no. The header frees up alot of flow but an additional Catback will definitely help it more. Additionally, to avoid sounding "newbish", use the search button and take time to learn. Its a bit tedious, but it helps you learn and keeps forums clean. I know you used it but being around for a few years, I've seen these questions answered several times too. I might just take the time to make a thread to answer them all.
