Rear catalytic

I just took out the rear catalytic bc my front one broke and I guess it clogged up the rear one my car was riding shitty and I was getting so pissed so I bought the front catalytic and cut out the rear one and my car is running a lot stronger. I did not know that rear catalytic holds back so much power. Now am ready for the next step in power increase

Ohh ok yeah now under stand I was counting the 1st 2 as one since there together. I would change the first one an add the headers but i was told the check engine light would come on bc of the sensor and check engine light is annoying! Is that true?

spacers on the post cat o2 sensors will eliminate that from happening.

i always get confused at this, so, in order, its 2 precats in the manifold, the "3rd cat" immidiately after the manifold, the resonator, then the muffler, correct?

is the third cat bolted onto the manifold, or is it, manifold>pipe>third cat? i ask cuz if its manifold then pipe, then my shop will tear it out, if its bolted on, well then its a bit of a pickle

ur headers bolt on to the beginning of the y-pipe of course . . then the end of the y-pipe has a bolt on clamp/gasket thing that connects to the 3rd cat . . no more bolted pipes after that . . depending on wut ur setup is now its either just clamped or welded

dont have one right now.what i can tell you is if you dont have a universal mag,it will be loud ! hence the reason i had to go back to the muffler shop 3 times before i was happy.do you still have your oem res ? if so put it back on and it will sound good depending on the muffler you have.the mag muffler is where its at toning down this engine

i have the magnaflow resonator on the cat-back exhaust so that should help keep the sound from being rediculous . . im bout to do this . . so will i just need to weld a pipe on where the cat was or can it b clamped . .and should i replace the entire pipe ( from y-pipe to resonator) ??

so you have dual exhaust and 2.5" piping ? if so,you better leave it alone or dont make it permanent until you have tested the performance of the car

then yea, just weld a straight pipe the same size as the rest of the piping in its place.leave your self some welding room on the pipe in case you want to put it back on
