Hi everyone, since the last 3 months my check engine turn on so recently i went to my mecanic and i took the scaner. The error in the scaner was something like " Catalyst leak or fail" is something related to the catalyst, something is wrong . I am very concerned. Please Help me!!

PD: My eclipse has an OBX Header( in the header there are 4 sensors) and a Muffler magnaflow. The others parts are Stock.
I installed the header 1 year ago and this header came with only 3 inputs for the sensors and my eclipse has 4 Sensors, so i had to create another input in the OBX header. So there are the 4 sensors.

errr.... if you've got headers you've got no cats left (except for the 3rd one maybe, but no O2 sensors in there)... so yes your check engine light will most likely be on... if it was off for a year, you've been lucky ! get the exact code, not just "catalytic error" and throw it directly in the search bar here and it will give you all the answers you need !!

We'll need to know what code/s you are getting to help you!! When you have headers you can get several different codes and each type code will take a different fix. You might have to add spacers, open spacers, might have bad wiring harness, or your O2 sensor/s might be bad. Either way around all the fixes are pretty easy, but we need to know the code/s.
