starting problem

alright guys i haven't been on here for awhile now and i got a big question for all of you? i just bought a 1999 gs-t and my friends wanted to see it. so i took it over there and gave the car a couple revs, the last one was pretty high and the car shut off. about 30 mins after that i tried starting the car and the motor and everything will crank but the motor will not turn over. The plugs don't have any gas in them and i did a plug test and the plugs did not create a spark. so all you guys that are motor inclined, i really really need your guys' help diagnosing this problem. thank you.

If your engine cranks normally but will not start because it has no spark, or it stalls and won't restart because it has no spark, the problem may be due to any of the following:

A bad pickup inside the distributor (on engines that have a distributor), a stripped distributor drive gear (common problem with plastic distributor drive gears), broken, loose or corroded wires from the pickup to the ignition module or PCM.

A bad crankshaft position (CKP) sensor (on engines that do not have a distributor), or broken, loose or corroded wires from the sensor to the PCM.

A bad ignition module (on engines that have a distributor or use an ignition module separate from the PCM)

A bad ignition coil (on engines that have a distributor and a single coil)

A bad rotor or distributor cap (cracks or carbon tracks that are allowing the spark to short to ground)

Faulty ignition switch.

the car has a brand new starter and ignition and it does have a crankshaft position sensor so therefore im guessing it doesn't have a distributor so i guess that only narrows it down to a bad crankshaft position sensor?

Also check the fuseable link on the positive battery cable, and fuses in general.

heres what i went ahead and did, i talked to a friend of mine that co owns a repair shop and he was able to give me a free diagnosis and so far he said that its just one big electrical problem. He believes that the coils are bad. I dont know for sure thats all thats wrong but at least its not anything thats mechanical. If you guys have any more input please let me know. Thanks to all that posted i really appreciate your help.

The chance of all the coils going at once is nill. Check fuses, check positive battery cable fuseable link. If those are good, why are you not getting fuel?? Check fuel system, regulator, and fuel pump.
