2007 Eclipse GT
Hey guys I just joined this site today. I am hoping to get some suggestions to make my car faster. I do not really know anything about cars but since I have an eclipse, I figured I would make some mods. I have already bought a cold air intake and a muffler tip. What other mods can I add to make the car faster that isnt going to cost me a lot of money? Also, I am wanting a hose dress up kit but not sure where to look. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome ot the club, its designed so we can all educate ourselves. almost every question you have has already been answered. Were glad to help but would like you to make an effort first. There is a search bar at the top right of the forum page. Please use that and read up. This should take hours, at the least. If you really want to learn you should spend a week learning about everything you want to know before asking a broad question like that. Please do your part, then if you have any questions after that we would be glad to answer them. Good luck! Hope you bought a flame suit!

WTTC! Everything you need to know to get your car running and looking good can be found here. There are as many opinions as there are products so read several threads about an item ....not just one....before you buy.

WTTC go on over to the new members thread and introduce yourself. I would go ahead and look into the normal bolt-ons, You will hear people say i/h/e intake, headders, exhaust. There are a couple of other mods like the TB bypass mod, of course nitrous and a tune are best bang for your buck.

Thanks for the welcomes from everyone. I have just recently added a dressing kit on to "Dexter" so the engine looks pretty sweet. I have still read around a lot and I guess I am just not good enough with cars to know what everyone is saying lol. I have a stock engine minus the muffler tip and CAI, and I will take any feedback on small mods to add horsepower for cheap. Hopefully you guys can help me out. I am a lost puppy on this shit.
Just added some color [IMG] [/IMG]

your engine bay looks like some weird kinda tetris or somethin. don't waste money on wire loom. get a real exhaust...not a tip, headers, aem fic + tune, driver mod and you'll be good to go

One thing i love about this siteis that we are a smaller close-knit group. Very homely and friendly in a Jersey Shore kind of way. But since you are taking advice and tips from us... my first bit of advice would be to remove the engine dress up stuff. Engine and dress up dont belong in the same sentence. It looks like someone dropped a bowl of gummi worms in ur engine bay. Im def not trying to be a dick whatsoever but if dexter could speak for himself... he'd be saying daddy can I please take off these high heels and make-up now?

Your engine bay reminds me of froot loops. Lose the wire loom or make it all the same color. Exhaust tip will do nothing for you besides looks. Get a full exhaust or a custom cat-back done and take a look at headers. Intake helps a little. Go nitrous and a tune if you want a big gain.
Handling you could upgrade sway bars and go with lowering springs or coilovers. Please don't rice.
