^not so, Outlaw Engineering actually makes them, RPW is one of there vendors they sell to, I can say this with 100% confidence because RPW has on there FAQ, DYI install page for the Phenolic intake manifold spacers a photoshopped version of what Outlaw has of what there gasket kit contains
case in point outlaw's image ![]() rpw's image ![]() by all means, I'm not saying that RPW ripps off Outlaw's products or that they are a bad vendor, just that with those specific products, they are the same, so the question is, would you rather pay for something, have it shipped to you in about a week, or buy the same product, pay for international shipping+regular shipping, wait for it to be shipped to the states, then wait for it to make it through customs, then wait for it to get to you? |

It provides a thermal barrier so that heat is not transferred from the block to the intake and the one on the TB prevents the intake from passing heat to the TB. It allows for a colder-denser mixture of fuel/air to enter the engine...which is always a good thing.

I love my spacers. they work for sure. good for at least a few ponies. all the small stuff adds up. works really well when the car is cold.

i didnt have no im spacers but when it started dropping in the 50 degree range and you dont drive in bumper to bumper traffic everyday, removing the rear weather strip under the hood will keep your TB and im nice and cool.at least it did on my gs.so much in fact,it was making my car run hella rich !! i have since put it back on until the summer months come back around.i drove with it removed when it was in the 40's and my tb was ice cold.no bs ! i wouldnt advise this for the gs if you are not using a FI/C

^you should get colder/better spark plugs and do them at the same time. just a thought. guess it depends on how new yours are and how close to stock you are. may not want to go colder, actually

im all stock other then these spacers im gonna be putting in and i plan on changing the plugs when i do this since the plenum is going to be ripped off anyway. im sure they need it by now and its always good practice to do a full tune up on a newly bought car no matter what they tell you. and from what im being told ill probably be buying new headers soon to keep that SES light off

you can also foul the plugs quicker when using colder plugs when not needed.
