I hope you all notice that it was pushing against the GS as opposed to the GT. And with all due respect, that kind of hit the nail on the head; but no reason to go selling your car over it.

I'd have to partly agree with the article. The 4g GS is like a hot girl/guy (looks) with a pretty good personality (performance). Part of the reason I settled for a GS instead of GT is that they pretty much look identical and I don't live anywhere near the autoban (why the need for speed?). I just want an attractive car to gain some experience tinkering with. I get dumbass GT Mustangs (think redneck/hunchback of notre dame with a great? personality) attempting to goad me into racing all the time but what's the point? Should I be flattered that they'd consider racing their modded GT against my unmodded GS? It just makes me laugh, especially when they hit speed traps and get pulled over as I pass them by. LOL At the end of the day, the 4g is STILL better-looking, even if it is just the GS version. Other opposing people are just jealous haters.

I don't understand why people with the GS edition are so down, our engine has so much potential. So maybe Mitsubishi didn't make the car perfect, maybe some things like it not being RWD or AWD are deal breakers for people, but what Mitsubishi did do is leave room for us to make a hell of a car. Don't say that there is nothing there for the GS. It may not have the best start, but that doesn't mean it can't have a great run. It is all up to you.

I do like the fact that even if my GS is underpowered, people not in the know don't suspect and driving ability can completely save the day. I bought mine in Vegas right before moving to NM and took it down the 95, flying by daily commuters (first drive, you damn right I was speeding). After about five minutes I looked in my rear view and saw a brand new 370Z with the numbers still on it pacing me about 2 cars behind. So I zigged. He zigged. I zagged, and he followed. Some dude from another dealership was trying to take me down, but I've driven that road every day for 2 years. He may have had more power (331bhp I think) but he didn't have a chance. Traffic kept us from outright drag racing and I used all three lanes to leave him a long ways back before too long. I wouldn't call it a kill, I'd just call it a fun day.
The moral of the story is that I was happy to get the respect of being the one car out of dozens he chose to try and test his car against.

theres going to be a negative article about every single car out there someone is not going to like it. I have to admit the GS is pretty slow from factory but throw a few mods on it and you can have one beast. Its all what you make of it with any car.

It is funny how car reviewers all think we are racing through the streets cornering as hard as we can. I have driven quite a few sad tubas in my day, they still got me where i needed to go. At least with the eclipse you want to wax it on the weekends. ...and have you ever been excited to see a bone stock entry level mustang?
