Serious urgent question

I'm looking into buying a turbo off someone with a 01' spyder. He says he has the 2.4 16 valve engine (same size as my 06') and he claims that it'll fit my 06. He says that he pay $2999 for it off of doug's dyno power and it has 25K miles on it. He said he'll sell it to me today for $700 and I'm just worried since there are no shops open to call that it won't fit so I figured I'd come to the experts on eclipse.

Thanks, I just talked to Doug from Doug's Dyno and he said that the manifold wouldn't fit on the 4G and he made a couple prototypes but didn't actually do anything with them. Is there a cheaper alternative to get more HP? I was told that there are Dyno chips that will add 50HP.

those chips wont work either. if you want easy power there is always nitrous.

How much power would that add and how expensive would that be to run and set up? I'm not to familiar with anything that has to do with nitrous.

Nitrous can add 30 to 150+hp. But PLEASE EDUCATE YOURSELF ABOUT IT FIRST!

Thank you. I talked to the guy again and he claims that it'll fit on my car... Me and my friend are going out there to blairsville. He say's all I'll need is new piping which I can order online. If the manifold bolts on to my engine (he claims he has the same exact engine) then will the turbo work once I get the piping if it fits and bolts on?

We have a 4G69 where he has a 4G64. Not same engine

The manifold is different and it will not work, you will need to buy a tubular manifold for the 4G69 block, Also you would need a fuel ignition controller to tune with and that alone is a 500+$ investment. If you don't know what your doing it's not a wise idea to TurboCharge our block because even though I have it requires constant knowledge and maintenance. I suggest nitrous and basic bolt one if you want more power because forced Induction is.... Not cheap. Hope I could help if you have any other questions let me know
