Money wasted in the pursuit of happiness.
Well hopefully not....after seeing a few people swear up and down the ES motor mounts would work fine on the GS as well, I went ahead and got them. This is in this forum instead of the GS specific in case a GTer can help answer the following;
This thread mentions a sleeve for the rear roller mount necessary for a proper fit, but my box didn't have any additional sleeves in it. Just the two mm's and the crossmember bushings. I'd rather not climb under my car for an hour only to put it back together the way it came apart, so .... should I be returning the box and asking them to get me another, or do I have to go purchase it separately?

Or better yet, have they updated the mounts since the posting of that thread and now the sleeves are the proper sizes straight outta d'box?

Looks like back in 2008 when they came in a different box you didn't get the extra sleeve.
So where did Pops get his? Maybe RRE sells their package with one after the whole RIPP debacle? Is that why it costs an extra $20 from them than through ES?

Really? You save the sleeve from the original mount and press that into the ES sleeve?
How come they didn't just make it the right size?

so you are saying you bough energy suspension motor mounts. did you specify you had a gs. maybe the GS doesn't need the rear so they just give you the front two. The GT might have the third mount due to all the torque it has. but i may be wrong

No, I'm working on the concept that they should work for both the GT and GS and ES just won't add it to their catalog as such.
Ala this thread here, not to mention others... I think I've read every thread on club4g because I'd rather not remove my old motor mounts only to find out I can't drive my car while I wait for replacements.

In fact I'm working on the near solid 100% certainty if they work in the GT they'll work in the GS, given that the roll stopper and center member are identical in both cars, down to every bolt.
But until I've had them in for 6 months without something bad happening I'ma piddle myself a little every time I turn the engine on.

Have you installed them? Is that the idea, you take the sleeve from the original mount and press it into the sleeve from the ES mount?

Appreciated, but I already know the basic process... but all the threads on it here show pushing two metal sleeves together for the rear roll stopper mount. My box didn't come with any extra metal sleeves. Than the one thread up there where the guy installed them on his GS alluded to using the one from the old bushing inside of the one from the new bushing.
I shall not start until somebody says yay or nay on whether or not that's what to do! But I'm friggin itching to get started! I bought myself a small press earlier too. Because I'm lame like that.

i'm pretty darn sure i used the sleeves that came stock... none came with the bushings... just 4 rubber double-decked donuts in the package...

Well that's a good plan too.
Alright, fudge it, I'm pulling my car apart. If this goes bad, I guess I can walk for a week.

I wouldn't be worried if I hadn't read two threads full of people talking about the slack in the RIPP products that were out at the time. I had ES mounts and various other bushings in my old beast and they went in like butter (well, hard sunday afternoon butter)... maybe I'll use this as a photo op to start a MyCar thread finally.
